I should point out, that the information they have placed out there in the public domain is bait. It's been there for years. It has nothing to do with me other than it is one layer in my onion protecting me from morons like this. But it is still the only ID I use on these forums.
While it actually tells no one anything about me, it should tell you volumes about the lowlifes that are involved. They were posting what they thought was personal information about me.
Do not come to this forum and interact with these people. They are sociopaths whose use of power on these forums must be absolute. If it is not, if they don't like what you say. If they think you are correct and can't actually debate you in the forum. They will not hesitate to try to drive you from the forum and they will use what amounts to terrorism to get people off.
Saying that, it is good to note that these aren't the sharpest pencils in the box. If you taken even minor precautions they will not be able to find out who you are. But remember, this isn't about they they think they did to me, it's about what they tried to do to me. The fact that they just weren't smart enough to do it, doesn't lessen the despicable nature of the act. This act has been threatened by this same group of people more than once. They have shown that they will try to act on it, even if they aren't smart enough to actually pull it off.
Interact with these people at your peril.

Now, you have interesting posting patterns. My company isn't big enough to have a block of IP address assigned to them. Maybe your company is large enough. Large institutions often have their own IP addresses and those addresses are available to look up in the public domain. You can just literally look them up. Lets assume for a minute that your IP address has one of those IP addresses that is in a block that is in the public domain. Remember those interesting posting patterns I mentioned. I wonder if company XYZ would know what to do with employee JWB if it was reported he is on the forums during working hours? See. I don't necessarily need to know who you are, if they know who you are. I wonder if a listing of the IPs and dates and times compared to JWBs work hours would make for interesting reading for them?
Stuff like this doesn't keep me up at nights yet to see what would happen. Not yet. But a little more prompting might make me interested enough.
Oh, and I should mention that I have just told you likely everything you know about how to crack an IP. I promise you, it's not everything I know. You might want to crack open that "Idiots guide to hacking" book to see what other tricks could be involved. I'm not worried that you might use them on me. But you might want to find out what might be able to be used on you.

We are bombarded with motorcycles this week- The weather is awesome and i ma not complaining as wife and I have logged 300 plus in last 3 days- anyway makes one realize what is really important-AKA family and friends- Shack said it right- This site is for Maura!
