The only shortcoming w/the hit-and-run theory is that based on the number of missing people and bodies that have been found, there would have to be an extremely visually impaired driver in the Grafton County and surrounding areas. Too many victims and missing people for H&R Theory to hold up. Probably a slight chance that H&R may have happened.

I do not know how much you've read via internet, but there are many people missing in NH; also many bodies have been found. It seems as though the mountains have become some sort of dumping ground. If I were hiking or camping in that area I'd consider bringing along a baseball bat. Seriously, it's like the Grafton County Triangle. If I were a brunette, I'd soon become a blonde. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsly say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Just a theory....one of many. It's always seemed odd that she would drive miles in a car that she hesitated to drive around campus or Amherst (due to the car's poor mechanical condition). Someone from the Grafton Co area may have followed her in a separate vehicle....someone who possibly visited her Sunday in Amherst. Therefore she felt confident in that if she became stranded she would not be alone. This person may not have visited her in Amherst that Sunday but might have offered to come to assist her if her car broke down. Then there is always the possibility that her car slid off the highway....she began walking and became the victim of a hit-and-run driver. My understanding is that it had been a dark evening and she was wearing dark clothing. In this scenario someone could have popped her into the trunk and drove away. Just hypotheses... There are many from which to choose. There are way too many possibilities to ever know for sure. Only MM will know what her intentions were that night. Only MM will ever know what happened that night, unless she was abducted (not by aliens) then someone else knows as well, obviously. I find it very odd that there was a rag from her trunk stuffed in her tailpipe, she took the hard booze with her and left the box of wine, and she even took the time to lock her car up. So many things just at the accident scene are troubling and at the moment unexplainable.

My sons know this road like the back of their hands and they have all been in minor accidents on it. But, if it was indeed a hit and run the person would've had to panic pick up the body, place her in the trunk, and move her to an entirely different location well off the beaten path.

Not to mention that if you Googled for the Grafton County Attorney that does not tell you who she is married, to or who any of her step relatives are. also the names of the people that were connected with the knife had never been released to the press ever, not to this day, but yet you know that as well. Hmmmm!!!

There was approximately 15 minutes during a hit and run might have occurred. I believe but don't quote me on this that the dog lost scent on Route 112 near Bradley Hill Road intersection... Maybe someone failed to slow down when approaching the intersection. If she had been injured, possibly the driver kept her for several hours and she was able to discreetly call using the Red Cross phone card. I believe her bf had received a phone call (it had been difficult to determine if it had been Maura). This theory may have possibilities, but it is a long shot. The description of the voice could have been that of someone weak and/or in pain... Can anyone recall how the voice was described? WTF, do you recall reading about the description of the Red Cross card phone call?

I know the person who turned it over had stated that he believed his brother had something to do with MM's disappearance, but died prior to police being able to question him. Does anyone know his name? good question for fred murray.

Bill 05478 wrote: <quoted text> You wanna know what is really funny, she did the same thing about the person I have been talking about on this thread. The other funny thing is the police never released the name of the person who turned the knife over or his brothers name because he had died before police could interview him and the knife was not handled properly as far as rules chain of evidence, it was severely compromised. The knife owner and his brother have been extensively discussed on several fora. The name was first posted on one of the deleted topix threads by a poster who claimed to be a relative of the knife owners girlfriend. The posts on Advocateīs old forum are still available for perusal. I got a few possible name of your "suspect" by googling the last name and Woodsville. I then searched several different public record listings and found a few possible fb accounts. On checking those out, I decided it couldnīt be any of the other guys with the same last name. So, anyone could have found it. And - if I was a local, which I am not - would there be anything wrong with being a local?

No not at all, I was just wondering if you knew any members of my family there, and seeing if possibly you may have heard some names bantered about in the area not on here. And, I do not want the names if you had.

Snowy, Please try to be more attentive when you read...note that I used the word "possibility" on more than one occasion regarding the H & R Theory. Even the word "theory" should tell you something... Slow down and do not be so anxious to give your negative critique. Please redirect yourself to the topic of this forum. Thanks.
