Judged: 1 I know a liberal family whom are very happy someone like me was around when something bad was happening to their family member.. They hate everything about people like me, the tattoos - weapons - etc; But, they spent lots of money helping me & still to this day send me cards & gifts on Holidays for the time wasted in Rikers.. So, the morale is just cus someone thinks, looks, acts different than you, doesnt make them your enemy.. Some day, maybe the world will go back to where a throwback like me will he accepted with old world morales & family values.. Untill that day, I stay persecuted for what I believe in.. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Ct river valley killer. That is the serial killer who was active along the i91 corridor in the 80's, right in the same area where maura travelled through that night. The official position from LE is that he stopped killing after the Jane Borowski attack where she survived but many people, myself included, aren't so sure. If you look at the unsolved cases from the north country it doesn't appear the killing ever really stopped, they did slow down but over the years since then there's been more than a couple unsolved cases involving women out on the road alone who were murdered under very similar circumstances. Theoretically people should hope its one serial killer because otherwise there are several killers preying on women out on the road alone. In reality there must be at least a few murderers who are walking the streets up there. Whether they are active killers or just never for caught for their crime, they are out there, this is a fact. But I 100% in my heart and brain believe that the guy who was sitting in his jeep Cherokee that night was the CT river valley serial killer. |

Judged: 2 1 1 Sandy hook is literally 5 minutes away from my childhood home, where I was actually staying the night before, I was actually sleeping and was woken up by about a hundred cops driving by on the main road near my house with sirens blaring, I was wondering WTH was going on. I'm the caretaker of my childhood home, stay there sometimes when I have things to do in southern CT. Nobody lives there full time so we don't even have the cable turned on so I had no clue until my mom texted me about it from VT where she lives now. A friend of mine's son actually attends sandy hook elementary and on FB this morning she said her son had a nightmare last night and she went in and heard her son say in his sleep "are they gonna come in our room too?" or something to that effect. Many of my FB friends are from my hometown and a bunch of them actually live in newtown. That makes me so sad and pissed to know his awesome little boy is going to have memories of this and probably be affected by this for the rest of his life, I'm sure one or some of his friends died too. It's just so sad that kids this young have to deal with death, it's inexplicable. I'm with Hannah-b; how can anyone comprehend someone shooting up a elementary school like that? How can anyone decide they're gonna go kill little kids that day, no matter how deranged. It's so sad that someone can be so completely mentally deranged that this is what they decide to do with their life, that this is going to be their legacy. Its disgusting, it's true evil, It shows how crazy our society has become. Then you got people like bill saying there should be MORE guns, like that's the solution to anything. Like some 28 yr old schoolteacher is gonna have the skills or balls to take down a crazed shooter with a semi auto high capacity rifle like that. I know many teachers, Plymouth state pumps out a lot of teachers and many of my friends that were girls went on to become teachers. Give these girls all the guns you want and they're not gonna be able to stop someone like that. IMO the LAST thing we need is MORE guns in schools, don't people realize how insane that is? Remember: violence begats violence. The last thing we need is for kids to become accustomed to seeing guns all over at a young age, that's only going to lead to more of this kind of thing IMO. We are one of the most heavily armed societies in the world and we have many many more gun related deaths than most other countries, that's not a coincidence. Gun control is such a grey area. Ideally there would be no guns anywhere on earth but that ain't gonna happen. Unfortunately many times gun control laws just make it harder for average citizens to buy guns when a criminal can just go buy an AK or whatever right on the street. So I don't think there's really any true right or wrong answer but more guns can't be the solution to a problem with violence. Assault weapons that can fire 50 rounds are completely unnecessary If you're not in LE, but then again the whole reason the right to bear arms was put in the constitution was to protect against a tyrannical gov't. so there's just no right answer. But arming teachers, letting guns into schools can't be the solution to this problem. If anybody thinks some teacher is gonna break their own AR-15 out of the classroom closet and go hunt down the shooter they need to have their head examined and studied by a team, not just one psychiatrist for an hour, they need a team studying them, kind of like the elephant man. The fact is that someone hellbent on destruction like this coward is not easily stopped. The teachers should be commended for doing the lock down, remaining as calm as possible and keeping the loss or life as low as possible. I love what JWB said: let's hand out grenades, grenades arent the problem right? There's gotta be a change in the society as a whole that produces such violence to begin with. |

Judged: 1 I offended them by not purchasing some building permit (building permit for christmas decorations?) & a permit to have it on my property as I am not a Church (whatever that law means).. So its $150 & take it down.. Or $540 bux for the permits & be approved by the church council then put it back up.. Im just gonna pay the buck fifty & I bought my daughter a small one that sits on our mantle.. Shes happy, all that matters to me.. http://youtu.be/Y3RSAtxvreQ At one point or another in my life, I knew those people or had run ins with them.. I only have a few months left here so im not doing anything to get hurt.. |

Judged: 1 1 1 That's so ridiculously insane that's even possible. I see why u had to have your daughter out there, you're a single parent you couldn't just leave her inside. What I don't understand is if you got a ticket for it then why did you take it down? They already gave you your ticket, may as well get your money's worth out of it. Or was it a ticket just telling you to take it down or you would be fined? Sort ED, not trying to break balls I'm still just in utter disbelief this actually happened to someone. I always heard about this kinda thing on fox news and I truly thought they were making it up because I'm in mass, CT, NY and there's manger scenes all over the place, nobody's getting tickets for anything like that, and people say merry Christmas all the time. Every so often I'll hear someone say happy holidays and I always think it sounds weird, and I'm not religious at all. I could care less if people celebrate whatever the hell they want, I'm not a huge Xmas fan I think it's become total corporate custie sellout holiday to the fullest and I'm not really religious either; but to tell someone they CAN'T celebrate something, now THAT pisses me off. I should be able to celebrate flying spaghetti monster day if I want to and as long as I'm not hurting anybody else nobody should be able to say anything, no matter what I put on my lawn. Somebody was actually offended enough that you said merry Christmas that they reported you to your boss? Unbelievable, some people ehh? Once again I dont see where dope smoking hippies come into this but I guess that's a side debate. I think you got that wrong ED, it's not the dope smoking hippies, they love Xmas they get a new bong from their GF and get to eat lots of holiday cookies and egg nog LOL. I think you're talking more about those rich uptight liberals who want to ban everything from smoking outside to fat in cheeseburgers to plastic bags. These are those people that were the first to get a prius when it came out and donate to some stupid environmentalist cause so they can say they're saving the earth or some bullshit. Those are rich environmentalists that want to maybe think they're hippies because they think it's cool. Besides, real hippy's back in the 60's loved their guns. They were friends with the Hells angels and always playing with guns. Watch any videos of the grateful dead from the 60's and you'll see them playing with guns, watch things about ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters, Neil Cassady who drove the bus always had 6 shooter old west style guns, cowboy Neal at the wheel. I'm just saying, the true hippies, and still to this day, liked freedom. Not gov't telling them what they can or can't do, can or can't celebrate, smoke or not smoke, an they damn sure weren't gonna let the gov't take their guns away either. It's almost strange how the true hippy is almost the same thing as the super right wing, no govt telling me what to do, I can have any gun that I want. Interesting topic, I'm still in disbelief you got a ticket for a manger scene!! LoL I truly though Fox was making that shit up but I guess not. Just so strange it's happening down in VA but up in ma and ny it doesn't happen. Strange place you live in down there ED. After hearing what you're saying about your town you really should consider moving up NH. There's like no crime compared to everywhere else and the people are just nicer in NH than pretty much everywhere I've ever been. That's why I've kept my house there so long, it's a great state with great people. If your town is really as bad as you say, and I have no reason to doubt it, get out of there as fast as you can If you can, especially with your daughter. You don't want her gettin caught up in crap, anywhere in new England would be way safer than that. I love New England, I'm a yank all the way. Lol |

Judged: 1 1 1 What'd they think you were building a real manger?' I thought I heard everything and then you hear something like that, that's awesome $150 and take it down or $540 and submit building plans for your Xmas decoration. Lol no warning, just here's a ticket and take it down too. My god man! |

Judged: 2 2 1 I always thought they were both named Katherline. The story I always heard was that mm's sisters real name is Katherline, which is the proper Irish name but everybody always just called her Kathleen and that was the name that made it into the media. Citigirl came on and said that her name really was Kathleen and renner was wrong. I thought I remembered hearing her real name was Katherline well before anyone ever heard of renner. Well but then somebody, I thought it was you Hannah but maybe I'm remembering wrong looked it up on a public records search and found her name was legally Katherline. Could citi have been wrong about her own cousins real name? Citi supposedly only met Maura twice so I would assume she probably only met her sister a few times as well, so maybe she just really thought it was Kathleen because that's what everybody called her? But is it possible the person posting as 'citigirl' over the last months-year isn't the real, original 'citigirl'? I don't want say she isn't but there is a marked difference between the way she posts today and the way she used to post. I posted back and forth with citigirl back in MM & MMM.com years ago many different times and I would swear it's a different person who has stolen her moniker if I didn't know any better. The only thing I know for sure is that her posting style is immensely different than it used to be, but then again so is mine so idk. Bu in the last month in particular there's been some things she's said, some people who she's defended, some notions that she's defended that just don't jive with the citigirl that used to post on the old forums. This is JMHO and I could obviously be way off base here but if she truly got her cousin's name wrong then maybe that's an indication this current citigirl is not THE citigirl from the original forum, the citigirl that is actually a member of Maura's family. Who the hell knows, all I know is that there is a stark contrast between the old citigirl and the new citigirl. When was the last time she posted? I haven't seen too many posts from her since it appears that she got her cousins name wrong, might be unrelated. Idk, I could definitely be wrong about this here though I'll tell you that much. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Are those cops for real?! They were really that dirty? I'm in disbelief again, that was like the majority of the leadership of the sheriff's dep't down there involved in some serious drug dealing/weapons dealing and generally just dirty tactics. Holy shit man! No wonder why you wanna get the hell out of thre, especially if crime is as bad as you say too. But it's no wonder, when the cops are the biggest criminals in town that's gotta lead to lots of other crimes too, people that can get away with whatever because they bought their assault rifle with shaved numbers riight off a cop. That cop can't exactly go out and arrest you for it now can he? That's some real corruption. There's corruption everywhere but that's an especially bad case. It's cases like that which make people think LE could've been involved with mm in some way. Personally I feel in Maura's case it's simply just a bunch of cops that don't want to be the guy who has to admit there's a murderer on the loose that they can't catch. Kinda like the CRVK. The official stance is basically the guy retired, but yet we are still having women murdered along roadways in the north country. Nobody wants to admit there's a killer on the loose that's smarter than they are and therefore they can't catch. Only thing I think is stupid about that stance is if you think about what they're saying logically for a minute theyre saying it's not the same guy. Well isn't that worse than a serial killer? So they don't just have one guy out there killing women, there's multiple? And they're all smarter than LE? What's scarier? One killer out on the loose or several? But that brings us back to public perception which was obviously important to LE from day 1 of this case. A serial killer just sounds bad, the public might over react to that very easily. Also a serial killer would bring much greater media coverage too, which they would not want. |

Im quite sure some of our older members here might remember Fieldcrest Mills - Towels & stuff.. I live in Fieldale, named after Fieldcrest in 1909, the first town in VA designed like midtown manhattan, & first with sidewalks, street lights, water/sewer, electricity, etc: all seperate from the rest of Henry County.. Im minutes from Franklin County - The real moonshine capital of the world & mins from NC.. The one cop, Brad M, used to pull up & sell dope out the trunk of his crusier on 10th street.. He is also the one that told on everyone & the only one to get a new name & stuff.. The rest spent 2yrs or less in a cozy fed place.. There is no parole in VA.. It was a better community when the Sheriffs Office was playing Mafia cus there was really no violent crimes in my part of town.. It has gotten bad & I put my Brown Stone (in NY) up for sale at the start of the school year cus my daughter wanted to finish 8th grade with her friends before she left.. We have no desire to move back to NY.. I liked the whole idea of NHs motto of "Live Free or Die".. But ultimatley, its her choice.. I picked the 5 states with lowest crime & good schools & she narrowed it down.. & I guess your right.. Im not mad at the pot heads.. The ones you talked about sounded right.. The stuck up rich Hanoi Jane supporters from Cali with their Priuses & weird ways.. Its all good though.. & yes they came on my property & stuff.. I dont live in an Apt & trailors arent allowed in Fieldale.. Anyway.. Sorry for wasting up space on this forum.. Its a sad world when a sicko murders Kindergartners!! There is NO excuse for that.. I do feel sorry for his brother that lived in Jersey or whatever cus dude had his ID on him & they beat his brother pretty bad & he will live in infamy for life.. Many of the parents will never get over this & Christmas will be a bad reminder.. The presents will stay under the tree & prolly sit somewhere for years & that makes me sad also.. These were babies & they didnt know to hide or anything.. Kinda makes the holidays feel not so important .. |
