No one wants you to hurt yourself. At least, I sure don't. I also don't want you to call the police about some b.s. post on Topix, because that's a nuisance to the Law Enforcement agency in question, and you've no valid case insofar as I can ascertain, given the posts seen here.
Secondly, even if you did have a possible case for harassment (you don't, but let's play pretend)- by inviting him to email you, repeatedly, you are inviting contact with your supposed harasser, and thus, making any further points you make about being scared, etc. a moot point.

Then again, he's probably going to call the police about some perceived threat. There is no post that he can quote that WAS a threat, so, it's going to end badly for him w/ LE, but, he won't listen to reason.

You need evidence of a credible threat, to call LE and file a report. He doesn't have that. Furthermore, they will not take any action as he clearly is continuing to contact you and invite private messaging from you, as well. I'm going to back this up with some links, for JWB.
