jenkins wrote: <quoted text> No, you didn't. Interesting that Wowzer threw in cement business' truck without any reference to that from anybod else. was that a slip up by her? Could she possibly know a lot more than she's saying? Now this red truck you're talking about. Are you really saying that the red truck that was pulled over at 5:26 am is THE red truck? How can you possibly know that? If it is the red truck where was Maura right then? She obviously wasn't in the truck and it seems that truck was stopped and let go without incident. IDK, but it seems to me highly unlikely that any of the trucks stopped that evening were THE red truck; if they were then we wouldn't be having this conversation today. Or are you saying that the red truck was NOT involved? He knew maura, was travelling up with her and when he came around the corner was just as surprised as everyone else that she was not at the car? Something is just not making sense here, I find it very hard to believe that if someone she knew was responsible for her dissapearance that they wouldn't have been caught, that's why most murders are solved, there is a connection between the victim and perp. It's possible, it just seems unlikely. Also if you analyze what RO said it seems unlikely whoever was driving the red truck she saw knew Maura very well. Please explain how you think the red truck fits into the picture and why you think that all of the sightings of the red truck are the same truck that was pulled over at 5:26am the following morning. But Bob, What if this little innocent hot girl wasn't abducted and murdered? What if she died in the woods or left for a new life. Could you imagine what this would due to all of your theories? I mean could you imagine how you would look if this turns out to be the case? All of these trolls here protecting a killer that doesn't even exist? I know, I know, I'm just trolling and averting the obvious truth because of my agenda. I am going to throw a word at you here; Pragmatic.... ; )

I seen the pix of those shoes on one of the missing posters.. They are not really for "bowling"... Back then all the major companies made them as a "light weight traning shoe" the ones in the pic resemble Adidas but they could be Etnies, New Balance or even Echos.. The stripes on the side are custom to those brands.. Now, they had a flatter bottom for supposed "support for athletes" & I guess you could say they resemble bowling shoes in a way, depending on the brand, but she prolly had them to train or for track.. In other words they were very popular amongst people of that age group back then..

This picture was sent by Sharon Rausch...these are shoes similar to the ones believed to have been worn by Maura.
Shoes similar to those believed to have been worn by Maura. Maura's did not have the white trim around the ankle and had two or three vertical stripes instead of one I removed the expired link. Same model shoe seen here: www(dot)bowling(dot)com(slash) products(slash)discontinued(sl ash)dexter-womens-sst-7-right- hand(dot)htm

The quote in my previous post attributed to Helena is most likely the source of the confusion about Maura's footwear. While the link that was originally provided by Sharon and Helena pointed to an actual bowling shoe used for the sport on a bowling lane, Sharon stated that they are "similar". Helena's remark about there being two or three vertical stripes does point towards a casual athletic shoe, such as the "Adidas Classic" mentioned by Snowy. At the time of Maura's disappearance in 2004 there was a fashion trend for stylized bowling-type retail casual shoes, e.g. Skechers, rooted around 2000 in the high-fashion circles in Spain and France and continues in popularity, albeit much less so, today. That's all I have to add on the subject because it's a Pointless Endeavor.

They are a lot lighter and less insulated than traditional sneakers. They also do not give the foot enough support for long distance walking.

Oh well. i wasn't insulting you. i just couldn't imagine Maura would wear something that looks like "bowling shoes". i figured it was Jenkins not knowing what he's talking about, again. now...the adidas things....i could see. but....bowling shoes. i must have missed that trend. here's what i thought he was talking about....they used to be $80. classic. many variations. http://www.zappos.com/adidas-originals-dragon... but that's ok. i can talk out of my XXX, too. it's equal opportunity stupid here.:)
