I agree with your assessment. I also have wondered whether LE inspected cars on Maura's campus. I don't know whether or not it would be common practice to do so. I also wonder if the PIs ever tried to rule out the possibility that someone borrowed Maura's car the night of the Vasi hit. Considering that the PI team didn't believe the damage was caused by the trees at the WB curve, I think it would make sense to try to rule that possibility out.

The main problem in this situation is, and has been, that the consequences of focusing on the information JWB has revealed is that more eyes will see it, adding to the stress of the person whose privacy is being invaded. Therefore, it has been necessary to mention it without bringing up specifics, hence my cryptic messages to JWB about "I know what you did."

JWB knows this. He knows that some of us are trying to shut him up, but that we are hamstrung in doing so because of that fact. It is next to impossible to do anything without refocusing those 45 users' eyes on the information he has put on this forum.

I have done all I could here to stop him without endangering the vulnerable poster further, which I think is the ethical and moral thing to have done in this situation. When I saw that he had revealed enough information for a five-year old to have figured out who he was referring to, and saw that he had contacted a poster's employer, posted the street a poster lived on, and had gone so far as to drive past that poster's house, I contacted the authorities. As helpful as they were, the gist was that, until this person actually did anything actually illegal (as in most stalking/domestic violence cases), not much could be done, but they would keep their eyes on this thread.

When time had passed and JWB continued to post here, it was obvious that contacting the authorities had not helped. JWB was still threatening a poster here, even when his argument was with somebody else entirely. I stepped in when I could to remind him that I would not let it go. So did others, most notably Ridiculous.

Ridiculous immediately responded after JWB's most recent revelation, when JWB revealed a last name. Ridiculous had indicated that he also had contacted the authorities in January when JWB first invaded a poster's privacy.

At this point, I believe that the only people who have reacted in an ethical and moral manner in this situation are myself and Ridiculous, and Wowzer, Snowy and any others who have stood up to this stalking and bullying by JWB. We have done all that could reasonably be done to stop this behavior.

Again, those that willfully ignore what has taken place here, who continue to berate, belittle and try to shame those who have stood up to this bullying and stalking, should take a good look at themselves - you are part of the problem. Ignorance is not an excuse. Nor is turning a blind eye to what has happened and accepting something at face value without using critical thought (Amy). Again, I am unable to say more without possibly causing more harm to the vulnerable people here.

it's never a good idea to watch people escalate, call them names, and risk allowing them to cause harm to themselves or others.
afterward, if someone is physically or irreparably harmed, it's too late to exercise intervention.

This was the first time in my life that I have contacted the authorities about a person I perceived as dangerous, and in doing so I believe I ultimately may have placed myself in danger as well. I don't take things like this lightly, and I hope you understand that there are people here who don't either, and were actually acting in the best interests of a person we thought was vulnerable.

Whether or not you feel you will be involved in this discussion any longer, I think you owe it to those people you said you respect to read this thread from January on to see what actually transpired here.

I cannot say enough about the respect I have for Ridiculous, Snowy,you Maruchan, Simply Caustic and anyone else that stood up to an internet bully that took it beyond the internet. None of you know me personally but you saw something very wrong and potentially dangerous and you stood and met it head on trying your best to stop it before it got way out of hand.
You could have been cowards and turned your head the other way, watching it escalate but saying nothing because you didn't want to get involved. You didn't do that. And shame on those that did.

The thing about Bob; When he went in for his lobotomy, they realized that there was no way they were going to cut through that thick skull with any type of conventional bone saw. Even carbide tipped blades were inadequate for the job. It was decided that the surgery would be performed, and I mean this respectfully and without prejudice, in the Greek fashion. The issue wasn't access, there was plenty of room for the anesthesiologist and a couple of surgeons, it was locating the offending organ. After repeated attempts it was located, however, being severely malnourished and quite weak from lack of exercise, it fell apart during the removal process with a large portion of it becoming lodged in his bowels. Specialist were flown in from around the world and after much viewing and consulting, determined that the safest resolution would be to simply leave this large piece of brain where it had lodged. The prognosis wasn't great but Bob was determined to overcome this traumatic experience and move forward with his life. The recovery has been nothing short of miraculous. Short of a few expected fixations, some occasional shit talking and the odd pulling of things out of the affected area he has made excellent progress. For a guy that quite literally has, and pardon the expression, shit for brains, Bobby is holding up pretty well.. ; )
