made it to the halfway point of this forum. i was going to quip that it's all downhill from there, but seeing the state of this forum over the last 24 hours, i'm not sure folks would get that it was a joke. it looks like that may be more truth than humor.

i guess you could say i have a high tolerance for slogging through these forums and a certain doggedness to see it through to the end, bitter as though that end appears to be right now. i think my only regret may come if a resolution to maura's missing is announced by investigators before i make it to the end of this forum.

also, i'm *fascinated* that topix shows my posting location as independence, oregon. though i'm a native northwesterner, i'm most certainly not posting from oregon. i'm using a verizon mifi portable hotspot and somehow being routed through some exchange in oregon. odd.

I'm not saying that in a bitchy fashion: I genuinely do hope that, should you have an issue with alcohol abuse, you have the courage to seek help. It's an incredibly difficult thing to admit, and I give kudos to anyone who is able to take that first step.
