It does really put jerky Jenkins mindset into perspective, doesn't it? Scary

If accurate, fred confided in maura's sister's husband that they would likely find maura at the top of the mountain drunk and naked.
Huh.
I thought fred said maura was most certainly abducted.

by the way just a guess on my part (not factual citigirl just an assumption) I personally don't think fred meant anything by maura likely to be found naked. I think that is something that is very common when a person suffers hypothermia (sp). They start to actually feel like they are burning up and they strip off their clothes or something along those lines. And if you are drunk (like you take a bottle of alcohol in a backpack up a mountain trail) you might get to that point of no return.

Huh. I thought fred said maura was most certainly abducted. I have no idea what Freds conversations were with others unless I was personally there to hear them. As I posted in the past I became involved in the search for Maura 3/16/04 and Fred believed Maura met up with foul play as well as myself and many others. Are you referring to invisible Tim?

Just a guess, not factual But maura was close with kathleen (means she confided with her about everything or close to everything) Kathleen was married to tim, which means she likely shared stuff with or let him in on knowledge (while they were still married). Bottom line: He would be a valuable resource to get some "inside knowledge" about maura's case.

While I disagree with some of yeat's conclusions I think his posts are important because he paints a pretty clear picture of how big of a scumbag McKay truly was. The guy thought he was a member of the Gestapo & above the law while driving around NH, using another scumbag as unnoficial backup while they sexually harassed young women. I'm still yet to see anyone show anything as to why him & Floyd should be eliminated as suspects in her disappearance. They were in the area & it's a known fact that Floyd listened to the scanner & would show up places often, why do you think he wa there on 5/11? Just by chance? If you think that you have your head in the sand plain and simple. These are the exact kind of guys that very well might have abducted Maura, knowing that she was out on the road all alone & was already being looked at. McKay was a true scumbag, a rogue cop & Floyd was his wannabe cop buddy who said that he's killed many people immediately after killing liko kenney. These assholes should be investigated but I seriously doubt that's gonna happen. It's very possible Floyd is the crv serial killer, he fits the profile to a T. Idk, I'm glad Yeats brought some of this up because it needs to be out & known to the public.

Jenkins where did you ever get the idea that Floyd and McKay were buddies that drove around together harassing women? Where? Besides here on Topix where did you hear as a fact that Floyd carried a scanner and showed up at things heard on it.Where? And wasn't Liko and Floyd both at Mac's Market in Franconia that day? Isn't that why Floyd came upon McKay being shot? Because he was heading home from Mac's Market after Liko left? Stop spreading untru rumors. If you don't know things to be a fact then don't repeat gossip and rumours. While both of these men aren't boy scouts I don't think they should be ripped to shreds for things they didn't do. Do you Jenkins?

if brianna maitland's disapearance happened first, Maura's would have been quite obvious. it's textbook, unfortunately. Thats why LE got stumped.

it's really all about the junk in the trunk. the stuff McKay wanted you to find. ask Mr Maitland what it was like finding the stuff in the trunk of the car. Im tearing up thinking how horrific that must have felt.

That new post from renner is very interesting. Once again has got to make you wonder if Fred is actually responsible for her disappearance. Tim makes it sound like Fred's whole thing was an act, he wouldn't wake up until 10am & then would be done & drinking at the bar by 5pm??? That's not the actions of someone who thinks that they're daughter is a victim of a predator, or on top of a mountain frozen & naked, what a weird thing to say huh?! Brings up a very important question in my mind...if Fred was supposed to get a call at 8pm the night she went missing, why didn't he try calling her? No only that but why was he unavailable until the following day at 5pm? That makes no sense. I'd Maura was so responsible like he claims, then shouldn't he have been worried when he didn't receive that call? It would make sense that he wasn't exactly about to send out a search party that night but you would think he would at least have his phone by his side waiting for her to call. But nope, he wasn't available for almost a whole day after she went missing, that's highly suspicious. "on top of a mountain naked"....what a weird and fucked up thing to say about his daughter. Really makes me wonder if the NHSP consider him a suspect, or THE suspect. The more learned about this guy the weirder & weirder he seems & the more sketchy he looks. It appears to me that his whole 'father on a mission from god' front he put up was just that, a front, a complete act for the media. I'm sorry but if you think your daughter is freezing on top of a mt you're gonna be up at 5am and out til as late as you possibly can, not partying at the bar at 5pm...

With that being said, 5 pm in Feb it is dark so their is no searching at that time of night to be done. I would think it would be a time to connect with those that are at dinner and discuss what the next day plans might be. For Fred to say Maura is up on a Mountain naked and drunk it just plain creepy for a parent or family member to say or think.

Was the family afraid of talking to Fred or where they just distant from him? JR's latest posts really spotlight the dysfunctional family dynamics going on. It appears that Fred possibly wasn't notified immediately because maybe the family knew he was a hot head and was afraid of him going off. Sorry Fred- if I have you wrong, cause I don't know you and am only going with what others have said.

Always two side to a story but when one side doesn't want their side to be told then you only have one side to go on.

"Is he a hardass? Yes. Did he drive us hard? Yes. Is he the best father a girl could have? Yes."
Pressure? yep some can handle it and flourish with it. Maura was second fiddle to Julie and might have found it unbearable especially with her mis steps.
If Mom (Laurie) was a drunk then Maura had lost her closest connection and had no parental compass. Maura may have only had her dad (friend) and she may have been more sensitive than her other sister and couldn't deal with Freds pressure to succeed while knowing she was failing him with CC fraud etc..and Westpoint etc...
