Maybe the $4,000 that Fred brought to town was actually to pay for her lawyer in the CC case?
She must've had a pretty damn good lawyer to get her a deal like that, even though it was her first offense 3 months good behavior is barely even a slap on the wrist; that's unheard of. Especially when you consider the evidence against her was very strong,, there was no way she was fighting that case and winning, at least from what I could see in the police report.
So that means she must have had a damn good attorney to get her a deal like that, and good attorneys don't come cheap, particularly in Western Mass where there is a rather high demand for defense attorneys.
A top notch defense lawyer will charge an easy 5 grand for a case, generally a misdemeanor case like that you can get a lawyer much cheaper but if you want a deal like that from a lawyer who's the best in the area, you're gonna have to pay something like 5 grand. There ainy no public pretender that's getting a deal like that for you, probably a year og good behavior or maybe even 6 months, but 3 months?? Who's ever even heard of such a light sentence?
I was thinking that it's possibe Fred had paid like a $1,000 retainer to get the attorney working on the case and they worked out deal like if the guy was able to get her just a slap on the wrist, if you can even consider what she got a slap on the wrist lol, that Fred would have to pay another 4 g's for the result.

Deals like that are worked out all the time and it might have been important for Fred to get this arrest basically erased so maura would have no problem going forward into nursing.
Also this arrest is something that the family didn't want the public to know about, it's possible many in the family didn't even know about it. So I could see Fred making up the story about buying the car as a cover story of sorts. Notice that his story to the public and to LE is completely diferent. To the public he said that they had picked out a car and he was coming back the following week to buy it, saying nothing about tthe cash. To the cops he said that he had 4 g's, knowing that they would be able to look at his bank records, and basically that they didn't find a car for her.

I think paying a lawyer is a possible reason for him bringing this cash with him that weekend, that would also be something that he would lie to the public about bc he didn't want the public to know that she had a case pending in court at the time. A lawyer is something else that costs a lot of money and something that he would lie about. It seems much more likely that this money was to pay for a lawyer then to help his daughter get away and start a new life for some unexplicable reason.

I would love to know if that money was ever depositied back into the bank or not, and what LE thinks about that cash.

I believe the Public has not been made aware of any other clips such as the Liquer store and or gas station? Can someone update me on that fact.If there were other video clips and they too are being withheld.I would likely think It Is some kind of marking.It Could even be another vehicle In the clip.But there IS something In that photo/video.

No I do not know this woman nor have I ever met or seen Billy in person. Through the eyes. But if you magnify the picture and look at the facial features as well as height and hair line no.

Wowzer I also wanted to say I have no clue as to whether or not this was Billy R. in the photo. I have only seen him once on TV in the beginning when Maura disappeared

The woman is his wife. I've seen a couple of other pictures of her, and don't really think she looks like Maura.

To my knowledge nobody outside of LE have ever seen that security footage, not the family, not the public or anyone in the media. Nothing definite can be drawn from that fact but it does appear there must be something in that security footage that LE doesn't want the family to see.
That's why I was thinking possibly she had a black eye in the video, that's just a guess obviously but I can't really think of many other things that would make LE not want to show the family. If she had a black eye and they thought Fred might have given it to her, that could be something that they wanted to keep close to their chest, not letting Fred know that they knew about it. but who knows, what else could it be??
Maybe it could be another vehicle or another person but I don't think so, LE has always said that she appeared to be alone, there was nothing indicatng there was another person with her. Maybe it's stupid but I tend to believe them on this point, and even if there was another person I still don't see why this would be a reason not to show the family the footage in order to get a postive ID, but I suppose it COULD be. IDK, either way it's another anomaly about this case, LE always show the family security footage if available so they can get a positive ID. Generally they show the public too, but in this case they've shown NOBODY that I'm aware of, it's odd.

Thanks Maruchan. I thought it might be his wife since she had a wedding ring on. That's the only picture I've seen of her but in this picture I thought her face had some of Maura's features.
Probably looks different in a clearer,closer picture.

You're totally right, he didn't specifically mention the liquor store. He didn't say it but that has to be what he meant. He said the 'surveillance/ATM machines'; Since we know that she was caught on surveillane cameras at the liquor store and at an ATM machine I think it's perfectly sensible to assume that he was talking about the liquor store surveillance cams, that would make sense right? What else could he possibly be talking about?

So you're right, he never specifically mentions the liquor store but I'm not really understanding the point of your post citi; is there a problem with me saying she was at the liquor store, when that's whre she was? It's obvious that's what Tee was saying, but what's the problem. He didn't say liquor store specifically, I mentioned it because that's what tee was obviously talking about, so what is the problem with that? Seriously what is the problem with me saying that? What could possibly be the problem with me mentioning the liquor store?

A question. No Injurys to Maura were reported from her car accident?? None that I have come across.
