I had posted on the mm.com & MMM.com forums years but had never posted on topix before. I can't remember the exact topic of my post but it was about the likelihood of her being abducted. Literally my first post I was completely attacked by these horrible people. You would not believe the crap these people were saying to me, they had no idea who I was, I made a very logical & low key post, & these people attacked me. On top of that they didnt just attack my post they attacked me personally, someone they had never interacted with & had no clue who I was. I invite anyone to read back & see just how 'friendly' these people are. In reality the trolls on this forum are the meanest, rudest & just downright nastiest posters I've ever seen on any forum anywhere online. I saw a post from someone last night, maybe It was you pippi, but they said that they'd seen forums where people attack each other like this, I never have. I've never seen anything like this. Can anyone show another topic where people actually treat each other the way these trolls attack people who don't agree with them? Please do if you can bc I don't believe it, I've seen a lot of forums before. Of course they were nice to you, you agree with them. That's how they work, you think she's in the woods they'll agree with EVERYTHING you say, no matter how stupid or wrong it is. You think she got killed they disagree with EVERYTHING you say no matter what & they'll attack you personally while they're at it. And pippi- please explain the 'logic' you used to reach your conclusion that she got Lost in the woods and succumbed to the elements. Please explain how you think it's logical that she is in the woods. Jenkins, the whole tone of your post is extremely hostile. It is ironic that you claim to have been unfairly attacked by others here because you disagree with their opinions and yet you are now attacking me because you disagree with mine! In answer to your question, of all the various theories I have read regarding Maura’s disappearance the idea she succumbed to the elements is the one I find the easiest to believe. Although this is my currently belief I have not completely discounted any of the other theories and I remain open-minded. Statically speaking stranger abduction is extremely rare - added to this the fact Maura found herself in a rural area, it was early evening and the driving conditions were less than ideal – for me it all seems just too unlikely. Yes, Maura could have been exceptionally unlucky that night and crossed paths with a killer, but I remain unconvinced. As for the idea of Maura escaping to a new life, I’m sure most of us would love for this to be true but given the huge impact her disappearance has had on her family I do not believe she would have remained hidden for so long. I have seen much to suggest Maura was troubled but nothing to suggest she was cruel. Again, this theory is entirely possible. There is much we don’t know about the Murrays and Maura may have had a very good reason to choose to disappear. None of us really know what happened to Maura that night. All we can do is look at the information available and draw our own conclusions. I enjoy reading other people’s opinions and theories and, as I have already said, I remain open-minded.

The most appealing aspect of Pippi's posts is not her(I am assuming Pippi is a female) belief...it's her presentation. Pippi laid out a well thought post, did not repeat herself over and over, did not ridicule others for not agreeing with her and did not call anyone names. In the world of do's and don'ts, Pippi's post is definitely a DO. Additionally she has a good sense of humor and is not afraid to use it. I hope Pippi sticks around for a while. Thank you, sir :-)

James.....Can you add any clarity to this? Life changing! Could this be a real break in the case or is it just more PR spin? Maybe Mr. Renner found religion during his 5 day absence?

In 2008, an autobody repairman said he had seen, in 2004, the damage to Maura Murray's Saturn before it left Amherst MA and was subsequently found abandoned in Haverhill NH.
The damage to the Saturn is popularly believed to have happened in Haverhill NH, where the car was found, but the autobody repairman's account contradicts this.

Green's attitude might have pushed some folks away, but I bet many will still want to help. More power to them. Renner seems to be big on crowdsourcing. I'm guessing they can use all the help they can get if Renner is up against a publishing deadline and still has a lot of research left to do. A lot of people seem to think Renner is going to solve this case. IMHO that would be a lot of pressure, since law enforcement and however many PIs don't seem to know what happened to Maura. My expectations are not that high. My interest in the blog has been Renner's interviews and public records. I'll still probably buy the book but am not a fan of Green's posts. Unless/until Renner starts posting more interviews etc, I have lost interest in the blog.
