John Green now seems to have moved seamlessly from armchair sleuth to armchair psychologist. Are there no ends to this man’s talents?

I have gone from being irked by Mr. Green’s style of expression to being somewhat in awe of it - his tone, his sage-like wisdom, his condescension. With this in mind, I have decided to write a novel about Mr. Green’s investigation. Renner will be a peripheral character in my book (mostly seen swilling Martinis and talking loudly on the telephone to Hollywood agents) while our hero, Mr. Green, does all the real gritty detective work. It will be the book behind the book. I have decided to call it ‘The crying of Lot 22: A John Green mystery.’ You will all, naturally, receive free copies.

SnowyB wrote: <quoted text> nice try; 3rd and counting. i hope you are not holding your breath. if you've read some of my posts over time, perhaps some of the history is making a little more sense. I don't think she can answer the question. The truthful answer will leave people scratching their heads. A no answer will make people ask why the person who splits the smallest hairs of detail usually in a question format won't answer a question to check her credentials. So either way a no answer is good enough for me.

He has not once used a condescending tone with any person with whom he has communicated via the blog-not once. He treats everyone with respect at all times, thus certain mentalities indicative of the bully zero in on him because he seems an easy victim. You probably know the type.

When I first found out about this case back in late Jan/early Feb of Last year, I was very interested how someone could just be "gone" in 7-10mins... I found Renners blog first then made my way here... I used to like reading the updates on JRs blog.. I made a very bad comment that was approved.. Ever since JG has pretty much taken over, I have not had one comment approved... I guess what im trying to say is that it seems that blog is turning into a place where only certain people "the inner circle" of posters there, can only comment & get approved.. Im sure most of yall knew much of the stuff from that blog way before I ever read about it But all the new people that see the ID network show & go searching on the net, will just be cast aside now! I remember reading all of JGs comments (not hecause I wanted to but because they were on every topic) & he would get mad & threaten to leave if "he wasnt heard"..... He might not use the bad language I did back then, but he plays on people with mental mind games & is no better than a "net thug"... Coming from someone like me after what I said in that one comment last year, Id say its pretty bad!! This whole ordeal has went from "we just wanna know the truth/writing a book" to "shutting all the little people up that wanna help &/or comment"... Its just wrong IMO.. & we are the "cheap seats"??!!!!!!!!

Congratulations, Mr. Pike, you have just been cast as Mr. Green’s sidekick/minion in my upcoming novel. You will be Holmes to his Sherlock. The Robin to his Batman. The Hit Girl to his Big Daddy.

I do think he has convinced that whole inner-circle (stealing your phrase) that he is going to solve the case. They’re going to be mightily disappointed when they realise there is no smoking gun. The idea of having to wait for approval just stunts the flow of conversation and ideas. Unless there is a legal issue with a particular comment I think they should approve them all and let the chips fall where they may.
