Giving away is in the case of a potential crime scene just as bad as crushing it. It equals destroying potential evidence of a crime. No, family should not have to request froensic testing, but in this case it is family, not LE, that insists MM´s case is a case of foul play, so it is highly remarkable they never insisted on having the Saturn forensically tested, but on the contrary actively engaged in having this vital piece of potential evidence destroyed (giving away = having it contaminated).

I don't remember the specifics but I had read it before knowing about this case. It's a worthwhile read. I would just read the entire book. Hopefully someone knows if there was a specific story she was reading about when she disappeared. I would be interested in your take on the book after you have read it. Let me know when you have finished. I don't want to slant your review by saying anything now.

Bill, I'm quite anxious to delve into it. I'm tempted to read the 'Question of Life or Death' first, since Maura was, admittedly, my motivation in buying this book. I've never read a book of this genre before - should be interesting.

Take a good look at Det Columbo´s link. There is a question posted by "Fred" 2 weeks ago, asking "What do you think happened to Maura Murray after she disappeared". "AJ" then answers this question also 2 weeks ago with: "I have no doubt she was abducted, violated, murdered and her body was buried in some deserted and abandoned area". It´s "Fred" who posted the question I suspect may be JG.

Fred asked the question and you think that is JG? Ok = so what? He asked a question.
