PURPOSE OF THE FORUM. As alluded to under the about tab, the purpose of this forum is to provide a moderated alternative to Topix; i.e., a discussion among mature and socially responsible people concerned with the case, where personal comments and vindictiveness are effectively excluded.
Moderation. There are three people sharing moderating responsibilities, including me. We have set rules designed to identify and exclude trolls. They are not published by design and they are not “bright line rules.” The idea is to exclude nasty personal comments and – if necessary – ban persistent offenders if they find their way in. MEMBER-AUTHORS. Blog authors can post topics or comment and edit their own stuff. This blog thus belongs to all the authors. It is not my blog. My presence here will decrease to some extent as my main purpose now is to back away from posting and focus on a deliberate research and analysis path toward writing an article for publication.
COMMENT. Any one can comment on any post, subject to moderation. But you must register to comment.
BECOMING A MEMBER-AUTHOR. This status is the default for anyone who wants to contribute. Any new-comer not already invited can easily become a member-author by posting a few times then sending along an email. If you feel you should have gotten an invite from me based on your record of commenting on Renner’s blog, let me know and my apologies for the oversight. You must be registered to become a Member-Author.
DISCLOSURE. Registering does not disclose your email address or name to anyone other than me as the blog administrator. You will be known only by your handle. I will never reveal your data to anyone for any reason. Once the blog is rolling, I would happily give over administration duties to a neutral party if one can be found.
