You say he's made mistakes on how he's responded to people. I agree but I think that's a huge understatement.
He came here as a new poster and called people names, insulted their intelligence and was just plain rude and arrogant. He still wants help getting information from posters here but yet thinks he is above answering simple questions when asked in a respectful manner.
Beagle has nothing to do with JG's actions. Green's arrogance and insults toward us are his own and has nothing to do with anyone else.
And if you're standing up for him in hopes that he'll get a cheap seat forget it. The first 25 are reserved and the rest are being burned tomorrow night in a 4th of July bonfire celebration. well said. all of it!

As far as Green "making mistakes," that mischaracterization of his behavior is simply laughable, as is "his new blog has made a very promising start" - you mean him spending time and money to travel to New England only to take tons of pictures of the wrong hotel and devote his first blog post to it? I think "promising" is the wrong word.
Again, I think you might find a better audience for your "poor Johnnie" posts on other sites - we VTs under the bridge and hanging in the cheap seats will not be particularly sympathetic. there is a need for a following; a shameless recruiting effort; in the end, there will be self-talk. i've seen the pattern. bloggers with fragile egos cannot accept disagreement without hurling insults. they shut-down access to commenting, and are then reduced to...self-talk. there isn't much substance left to debate, if there ever was. very little hasn't been dissected. it will be hard to get some movement at this late date, especially if you announce you're hunting down followers and hassling and warring with the trolls.
