BillNH wrote: <quoted text> I don't mind at all.. I was born in Buffalo, NY, not far from the Peace Bridge to Fort Erie, Ontario. When I was in 8th grade a girl in my class was murdered in the house across the street from me. Beaten to death with a hammer. Turns out she was a prostitute. 8th grade. My family moved to the southern tier shortly thereafter. We lived in a very small town, population 1600 or so, about 60 miles south of Buffalo. It was within a 20 mile radius of St. Bonaventure University, about the only place of note in the area. It was also in the snow belt, lake effect snows off of Lake Erie, I am no stranger to snow. I remained in that same town until I moved to Haverhill in 05. It is much colder here in winter but the snowfall is minuscule compared to where I lived in NY. Buffalo always took snow honors; ditto Canada. things are shifting around a bit now with unexpected blizzards in places other than Buffalo. so, having lived in a very small town, you are well suited for life in the North Country! and New England, in general. seems like you made a perfect transition to a beautiful place! there is some finesse in knowing how to behave in a small town. when in Rome.....as they say. we are so impressionable but, yet, so resilient as kids,. i am grateful not to have an image such as you describe in my mind. i do recall, however, an outline in chalk of a three year old...along with her shoe on the pavement....after being hit and killed by a Good Humor truck, which might explain my steadfast focus on safety. indeed, we are the sum of our experience, and view the world from the inside out. it's amazing, as we go about out daily lives, that most of us can agree with as many fundamental points of reference as we do.

By the way, I found an account of a Mathew Blakesley from Lincoln in the courts section of the journal star. twenty two year old. lost his license for a year, didn't say why though. Funny, ever since they started discussing Mathew, who may be Mathew over there, granny has been strangely silent..... Its all blah blah blah blah...

I wonder if tests of the hair revealed something that prompted the state to open a cold case on Maura. While finding duct tape isn't rare, tape with hair is, especially considering the location. That would be a great area for a grid search and cadaver dogs to search. Also it seems in many but not all leads in Maura's case if it was not related law enforcement made statements to such. yet it seems total silence here. Has law enforcement made any acknowledgement of this duct tape with hair being authentic? yea I agree why the long wait? I don't expect to hear anything back re results though. beauracracy is what it is. it never makes since as to the chain of command Something I found interesting especially Mathew's town. And why would JWB think he would hear anything back?

Maruchan wrote: <quoted text> I want to point out something very interesting about Sam Ledyard's Matthew links. He has used The Wayback Machine for three of them and a regular Google search for the third. Each link goes to the same exact Topix thread (Maura Murray & Holly Bish started by Beagle), with the same exact post from Matthew. Here is the interesting part. Ledyard posted four links. Two of the links show Matthew's location as Lincoln, NH. One shows his location as North Woodstock, and the last shows him in Portland, ME. Now who do we know whose posts show up from all those locations? JWB/Granny/nhrider. I have no idea why Topix locations would change from one Wayback screenshot to the next on different dates - all of Beagle's posts stay the same. Nor do I feel like looking into it at the moment. But hey, it's kind of interesting, don't you think? Back to procrast ... er, getting stuff done.:) Bump because it's interesting.
