John Get a glove? Is that some kind of typo? In the days when we were trying to insult a man, or even to motivate him to get up to speed, we would say something like get a jock if you want to play. This is a full contact sport. A glove? Is this a dish-washing competition? WOW! How manly. Nothing worse than getting dish pan hands. I guess men have changed through the years. Oh, but there are still men like Emmett around from the younger generation. Always happy to know that there are still men out there. And I don't go to John Greens forum, don't care about him. And I thought I read the funniest post ever the other day but this has it beat. "There Are Two Typos Of People In This World: Those Who Can Edit And Those Who Can't" I know he's working on a clean-up of catches from non-professional editor friends that couldn't believe there was one, and can assure you he is pretty well educated (if not as detailed as you'd like). Nevertheless, it's a pretty good story!

Bill C'mon! You don't do dish washing contests?! My guy gets dishpan hands constantly, from washing all the dishes. It's a pretty fierce sport ;)

Nevertheless, it's a pretty good story! Enjoyed your "typo" quote! Very funny. I yellow-flagged every page where I found a problem, and by the end of the book there were about 60 flags, some referring to more than one error on a given page. Not acceptable. He won't be taken seriously by intelligent readers unless he does a great deal better than that, regardless of the quality of his ideas. I'll email him myself at some point, when I get past the fact that the top of my copy of his book looks like the fringe on a Persian rug. I want him to know that I liked the book!
