Another thing on my mind: There was a school board meeting in Bath that evening, and supposedly someone from that stopped to ask Maura if she was ok and if she needed a tow. This is old, old stuff from the earliest forums. Why no mention of this witness ever again?

hi all, AAA called Ohio on sunday around 6.30 p.m.to do a service check on there customer .We have been told that Maura was without her cellphone until 8.30 p.m. sunday when she retrieved it from Sara Alfieri. Sharon seems like someone who would be on the phone right away to check on Mauramore than once. Also curious who did not call Maura on Monday Feb 09 2004 and would have been expected to. take care philip

Very odd that he makes a point of telling everyone that she was supposed to call him on the 9th yet when she doesn't, he does not call instead. Not on the 9th or the 10th. Wouldn't a father, who says he knew MM felt she had disappointed him by crashing his car, have made that call on the 9th to reassure her that all was ok? And after not getting that call from her, wouldn't he have tried to by the 10th?

Seems more like reassuring words that it was not a big deal and she shouldn't worry. It would be more odd if he knew the dollar amount of the damage on Sunday since I doubt you could find a body shop open on Sunday unless you knew someone. I don't recall seeing any statements from Fred quantifying the damage on Sunday.

I don't think it's suspicious I think it is just a dad knowing the insurer will deal with the situation and reassuring his daughter. Is there a police report for that incident? 8/9 thousand dollars seems like a lot of money and implies a lot of damage. Was Maura injured? Was Fred able to go home in the car or was it transported home for repairs/ left there for repairs?

I believe it can be found on Renner´s blog, documents section.

So why didn't he try to reach her?
