While the universe offers infinite possibilities, we use rational thought and methods to narrow down the scenarios so we don't search for bigfoot or alien spacecraft or the one armed man likely wasting our limited resources and manpower. We, if smart, will only look at scenarios that provide the answers we seek that fulfill the known facts. If we want to spread our speculation farther afield to increase the number of possible scenarios than that is fine, but lets not insist that they have any true relevance until such time as another fact comes in to substantiate it. Personally I know better than waste my time chasing bigfoot and alien spacecraft. Others that want to, can of course do so, but, I have a limited lifespan, and weeding out irrelevant scenarios helps me get the most out of the time I have on this earth. I mean, how long would an extraterrestrial search for Maura take? I'd hate to waste my life in that pursuit though others may want to. Fortunately I have learned about tools that help me whittle down the POSSIBLE scenarios based upon what we know. It doesn't give answers, but certainly helps lead to one that may be viable and hugely reduces the number of scenarios that need checking. And just as important when an answer isn't forthcoming it has the added benefit of showing you, that you are wasting your time. But, as I have said before, many times, you are allowed to waste your time in any way you see fit. Bill

Question is which witches are being hunted by what witch hunters and for what reasons. No doubt cheap-seaters have long since proven their peristency in defending the no-bull zone as well as their liking of peanuts and popcorn.

THe answer to your question is: YES.

This time of year is extremely busy for me but when I have some time to waste I might as well waste it here. Summers over and it's predicted that we will have a very cold and snowy winter. I'm getting outside as much as possible on these beautiful days. People should take some time and walk into the woods and just listen to the leaves falling from the trees. It's so peaceful and a sure fire stress reliever.

A sure fire is never a stress reliever IMO. Especially with the falling leaves. I prefer the rain which I find nice weather for ducks.

Not sure what is going on with Topix, but ... I checked in here about a half-hour(?) ago, and saw this quote: David Blake wrote: Bill, Thanks for taking the time to read at least half. Appreciate the feedback: good, bad, and even ugly! When I came back a few minutes ago, that same quote was posted in the same place (under Hannah's two posts), but it showed the user had an un-registered account, and was posting as "Anonymous" from "United States" (a proxy). I thought this was strange, and was going to post a message to WTH-Bill that it was actually from "David Blake," but then continued to read the thread. After I saw Ridic's "which witch" post, there were two posts from "Anonymous" from "Abington, MA," which, of course, is Sam Ledyard (who really seems to need somebody else to talk to other than the followers of his blog, even us cheap seaters). I wondered why Sam was suddenly posting as Anonymous when his posting location gives him away. Then I hit "Previous Page" to look for something, and when I then came back to the latest page, the two same exact quotes that I had just read from "Anonymous" from "Abington, MA" were suddenly posted by "Reel the Wowzer One" as shown below. Reel the Wowzer one wrote: <quoted text> A sure fire is never a stress reliever IMO. Especially with the falling leaves. I prefer the rain which I find nice weather for ducks. Reel the Wowzer one wrote: So what's the deal with the A-Frame house? Where abouts is it on Valley Rd? So it must have been a strange Topix glitch, but it seems pretty clear to me that "Reel" is Sam Ledyard hiding behind yet another moniker.

Forgot to say that when I came back to the present page from the previous page, that the "Anonymous" post from "United States" had then switched back to "David Blake". Weird.

That is strange. I just wish everyone would use one moniker. It much less confusing especially for newer posters. I envy your knowledge of computers as I am a computer dummy.:)

When I checked in at lunchtime there were no names, and several posters in a row had Wowzer's duck avatar. I think topix is just screwed up today. If David Blake really is posting here, I would like to ask -- any plans to release a Kindle edition of the book?
