Anyone who thinks that finding out what happened to MM is the main event is sadly mistaken. But if it works for you, that's fine. Your'e easily contented. MM is just an out-dated vehicle. It's not about her or her disappearance. It doesn't matter whether she's dead or alive. Sound heartless? Not even close. But very, very sad. I've often wondered if any of this has ever really been about finding out what happened to Maura. And I have to agree that this has been a dangerous situation for awhile now. When it goes beyond the walls of Topix it's time to stop it. But can it be stopped?

I would just say it was a video. A vid which you cannot ever get out of your head. And continuously come back to because you think it will somehow diminish me. Wrong. Some kind of serious peace-making. And I will be pretty surprised if that happens. There's just no one to mediate, to settle things down, which would be the best thing for all. LE - according to LE itself - will only become involved after the fact. Very sad.

Being chased by an armed PI who has a documented history of intimidation is sign enough that things have gone way beyond the arena of online discussion/insults/invective/w hatever. If people insist on standing their ground, which they seem to do, I don't see how this is going to settle down. LE wants no part of it until something bad happens.
