Yes, it seemed more like some personal vendetta to me too.

Newly poured concrete.....let me think. Oh boy, now we can go in there~we've had some leads and intend to follow up on each one. Poured cement could be covering a dead body.
Nah, if they wanted to go there on account of that alone, it's not a good enough reason. I still think so. We pour concrete all the time through the years as we expand the store. Some of our pretty cement has cracks and we need to fix that too, wouldn't want anyone to trip.
Sometimes I think police will just use excuses to look into other things at the same time. We get that here. fire Marshall has forced us to keep a key in an outside lockbox. That's just wrong. And when they won that right to come in like that, they were nosey and finding fault with so many areas of my store. I had to fix so many things at a time we could not afford, it was just a foot in the door for that reason. To snoop and tell us we needed permits.
And when was this intended search refused? 2 years, 4 years, how many years later? By that time, any remains would be better off distributed around if not completely burned.
Oh my gosh what a gory thought.

The April, 2011 issue of SOCO Magazine, which is linked on the "News" section of the blog, implies that the man who rented the A-frame was not the knife owner. See pages 81-82.

Do you know whether the knife owner was the A-frame tenant? Do you have a source?

THE FOLLOWING IS 1 inch from the bottom of the lonnnnng link I'm about to post. Just my thoughts when I read it (again); I wondered if someone else decided to make it look believable about the brothers...MOSTLY because this article was written 4/11/2013

Murray, who believes his daughter was abducted, said he contacted Baron a few weeks ago after being told of her strong track record with missing persons cases. The California psychic said she has helped dozens of police departments with homicide and missing persons cases over the past 20 years.

Baron said yesterday that after speaking with Fred Murray on the phone, she saw visions of Maura Murray and received messages from her in the form of thoughts.

Baron said she believes Murray hitched a ride with "a clean-cut looking man" in a truck following her car accident the night of Feb. 9. The man then sexually assaulted her and buried her body in a sparsely wooded area that may be a construction site, Baron said.

Her assailant, Baron added, has killed at least one other woman whose body is buried close to Murray's. "He happened to be driving by her. It was an opportunity. That's the thrill for him -- he never knows where the thrill will be," Baron said.

No source so far, digging between jobs here. I'll be sending a link to you, but I'm thinking you already have it.

Anyway, volunteer detectives got the key to the A-frame. A realtor swung that deal and let them have a key to it. Long story, but police had no interest. If they did, i wonder why they did not attend.

Some creep decided to start yacking it up about an x neice, his sons, blah, blah, in an attempt to discredit these people. That's what I think. In my haste and upon reading that Fred contacted a psychic, I decided to post it for several reasons. NH dad found out about the case in 2010 and started reding about it. There have been many articles highlighting/outlining the people who believe Maura was murdered by a clean cut guy in a truck and has killed one more person besides her. The mind plays tricks and NH dad made something out of rumor, gossip.
I know I did not say any of the above in my clueless post, but thank you for joing me this evening.

A man and woman living there acted strange in the days following MMM.
That mans brother went to jail and/or died of cancer in jail. According to citi, that brother brought the knife to Fred and said it may have been used to commit a crime. But citi said "not nessicarily Maura"

I'm a bit confused. Let's assign names; we'll say Adam lived in the A-Frame and Brian was his brother.

You're saying that, according to citigirl, Adam and his female roommate acted strange around the time that Maura disappeared. Brian went to jail where he may or may not have died of cancer. Previously, Brian had given the knife to Fred.

Is that your understanding?

I agree with your reading of that Topix page (page 8 of the Where is Maura Murray thread).

But I can't reconcile that with the SOCO article. The latter clearly implies that the A-frame tenant was someone other than the knife brothers. It treats them like three different people.
