Yea said I wouldn't post again here but I would like to give a little if it is legit. JR appears to get the proceeds immediate and that is ok but-

If the Goal is not reached then what happens to the money? I don't think it comes back based on what I read.

JR- I respect you etc but the latest stuff has me scratching my head as to why? I hope it is not sensationalism.

Give a little if legit meaning donate to JR fund and please don't laugh at my donation cause I don.t have much to give but want to if I feel ok about my question of the goal being reached.

Otherwise, I think it is a good idea to spring another Poster/Billboard plastering I feel time is running out for it to be effective as memory fades and Maura gets older,

In my opinion- The power of the blog is just so much worse than a forum of Chit Chat, When a picture of someone is posted out there with insinuations then it really sensationalizes and exaggerates everything as they are guilty of something.

I find this very different than someone asking a question about SBD on a blog cause after all he was the last known to see Maura but when you put in a picture to go along with it then it makes them look suspect.

Listen, I really care about this case as you know and welcome all talk about everyone but to pull straws out of a hat from a pic or yearbook signing (4 years prior) then that makes my hair stand up on end and really irritates me.I feel that it is no longer about finding the truth but for selling books and drawing people to blogs.

I fully support efforts to raise money for Maura's cause. I'd like to donate some of mine. First, I need some clarification.

I assume that the goal is to raise $5500 (last time I checked, six percent of the goal had been met and $350 had been raised). It would be nice to have that number confirmed or corrected.

Why billboards? What other options were considered and why were they dismissed?

Where will the billboards be placed?

It would seem that the plan is to place billboards in MA (in Amherst and Boston), NH, Canada and Ireland.

I'd like an answer to JWB's question. What happens if the goal is not met?

Pretty much all of this is answered on the blog. The goal is $6,000. We're going for the areas with the best chance of success, trying to reach people who may have info about Maura or her case. I've added Canada and Ireland if we have the funds because there have been reported sightings there.

If the goal is not met, the money will go to newspaper ads in prominent locations, whatever is left over will go to flyers.

Putting a persons face on a billboard should be done with caution. Call me old fashioned but, what if the person was running from a lunitic or some other threat? It's a matter of principle to me again that the families of the missing should give their blessings. Or the police. Would police object to a billboard if they knew a person was in hiding? Oh well, it's a very loving gesture, but I hope it's the right thing to do.
