Wowzer the real one wrote: <quoted text> This is the same person that argued with me for months that Old Peter's Rd was not next to the Weathered Barn and across from The W's house but further down the road. I read that forum and I don't recall anyone making threats against the family. If that was true Helena could have just banned the guilty party instead of shutting the whole forum down. This of course is IMHO. Just wondering what Your post has to do with WHY her post was removed.

Insanity rules wrote: <quoted text> Just wondering what Your post has to do with WHY her post was removed. Well gee I don't know. But I do know this... if I stated and untruth on this forum and someone called me out on it I would remove my post. You really should read the older past posts on this forum and others. It would answer a whole lot of questions that are being asked here lately.

Just a short note to let You know that Columbo is doing ok. He wishes he could be here himself although his present location is void of any internet or phone service. Columbo expects to be back in contact sometime around mid may. His ultimate goal is to return renewed and refreshed after a long 10 yr battle. I will snail mail him your concerns. Thank You, David

SnowyB wrote: <quoted text> ideally, the "question for James" would be addressed to his blog, and the deleted post would not be reprinted on topix. some ppl lack common sense, or they like to stir the pot. Someone pointed out the post was deleted by the author, thought I'd add a little turd to the pot.

You can't hide no many how many times You change Your moniker. Get well soon xoxoxo

I believe in a past post that i (David) stated that Columbo was living off the grid in the midwest. This is still the case. He chose to just back away from all the issues. Again I will send Your thoughts his way. David

This case, although unsolved, has been the catalyst that will produce positive outcomes to other cases and open avenues never obtainable before. Pay attention. David

I shut it down because (1) it had become pretty much inactive, no one had posted anything for some months, and (2) it cost me money to have it. Didn't see much sense in paying for something people were not going to use :) Thank you for answering this question.

Its under the family message board post. "pomkik February 11, 2014 at 9:53 AM Good work." You just can't make this up. At least Sam and Franklin will know the dude's name when JR posts it here or at his place.

Advocate wrote: <quoted text> Yes, the word "steak" in place of the word "girl" identifies the post as being from my forum, I am pretty sure. The original host company of that forum -- company called Forumer, I think -- for some reason replaced some words in postings with other words, after the forum was closed by me. Yes, I asked you about this a long time ago and you gave the same answer, thanks for explaining it again. It is quite obvious that it is a software glitch/thingie. My favorite is "security burrito." :) It seems, though, that John Green has his own explanation for this glitch: From Renner's blog: "Snapdragon February 11, 2014 at 9:11 AM This may be a strange question... but why is the word 'girl' replaced with 'steak' in the quoted post? John Green February 11, 2014 at 3:02 PM This seems to have been a tradition among a group of Topix posters who were active years ago. I think it is clique-ishness more than anything else and they had other code words. That one always disturbed me too. Many of people in the Topix clique are pretty disturbed, as you can see from their posts, but it is more evident when you meet some of them personally, as I have had the pleasure of doing. Also, I think some of the so called, self-trumpeted league of investigators - who were really just play actors - liked to use phrases and code words that suggested they were grizzled insiders. That one may have originated with one of those investigators in their voluminous online writings full or pointless hide-the-ball rhetorical or socratic questions, which no real PI would engage in." Ahhhhh, so it isn't a software glitch, but CODE, DISTURBING code, possibly originated by grizzled PIs. Luckily, we disturbed burritos of the Topix clique know the true steak behind this code, and even use it when we send each other private vegetables or call each other on the pan-fried tilapia. Well, time to put on my marmaladies and climb into wild boar served in a reduction of Sagrantino wine sauce, together with a side dish of roasted potatoes served with a drizzle of olive oil and Rosemary. Nighty-nite. ;)
