This person (Billy Vanderbilt) isn't copying anyone or pretending to be someone else.
He's giving a legitimate email address along with what he claims is his real name.
He claimed to be trying to trace posters identities with his "technical know how" and Ben's help.
Whether any of you were involved or not the bottom line is that someone is trying to get posters to email them in order to try to trace their identities. I was just giving a heads up as I think the posters should know if someone is trying to find out who they are.
I don't know why someone has to use multiple monikers. As we've seen, it just confuses the posters and allows someone to spam the site without revealing their identity.

You know billy never responded to private messages. Further, he told Tyler, who he talked on the phone with, that he was an IT graduate student at Carnegie Mellon and had "additional resources." Later he said that he had proof that I created the Geocities page. Billy also claimed to Tyler that I never contacted billy. It was for these reasons I concluded that billy isnt honest.

Vanderbilt's lying. Put yourself in his position; his goal is to "trace posters identities." Why would he tell you that? If I wished to trace posters' identities, I wouldn't advertise my "technical know how" and announce my goal. So his goal most likely is not to trace posters' identities. So what is it?

The only thing that makes sense, to me, is that he wishes to portray Ben in a negative light.

Tyler and I have different opinions of Vanderbilt. I want nothing to do with him but Tyler thought that he might be a good resource in identifying pomkik. I respect Tyler; we have agreed to disagree on this. Tyler has never shown any interest in identifying any poster other than pomkik.
