Simply ditch the hitch. I am unaware of anyone else, including any so-called detectives, having mentioned a trailer hitch theory on these threads. I don't have the exact date in front of me, but it was in the summer of 2008 when I first mentioned the trailer hitch theory.
To re-emphasize... It is, as I think we both agree, a fact that little to no damage can be sustained by a Saturn's bumper while the same impact may leave a good sized dent on the hood.
I don't know how the dent happened, but I would not be surprised if it happened near UMass parking lot #34. Police were looking for a car that had hit Vasi. It doesn't matter whether or not there was a connection between the Vasi head injury and the dent in the Saturn. If the Saturn was visible to police, they would have seen it and looked at it. It is therefore likely that the Saturn either did not have the dent in it over the weekend of 2/7-8, or that it was parked out of sight and not driven much if at all until it was found in Haverhill NH.
What makes you so interested in the dent in the hood, anyway? How do you think it got there? The trees? Something else? Maybe you could settle this simply by saying what bothers you so much about the hitch theory.(Please note: the "hitch theory" is a general term that includes any elevated hard substance, not just, literally, a trailer hitch.)

I can tell you that it is very doubtful that any "expert" could narrow down and tell anyone what the car hit specifically. We all know your trying to create a conspiracy but again you have no plausable explanation to start one. So it really doesn't matter what her car hit on the curve. You just don't understand reasoning and you have to create your own outcomes.

That's good :D ... I've been iight, it snowed soooo much down south this year the area wasn't prepared for it... Lowest temps I've seen since the military!! It got down to -16 with the wind chill one night! It made working real hard + VDOT didn't keep the roads or I-81 very clean at all!
