renner has repeatedly shown himself to be of pretty low intelligence and worse, as a "reporter" he repeatedly shoots from the hip and posts things that are incorrect and then posts a "I made a mistake" post, after of course the damage has been done. He is a laughable nitwit and I find it remarkably humorous that he has people that actually think he is doing good things. It will be better for him on his site now that he won't let any dissent at all appear on his blog. He should be much more comfortable now. I would love to see him sue someone for definition of character 8-). I haven't seen any posts that do anything other than talk about his poor techniques, bad judgement, using other people money on his wild goose chases and generally not being a very bright person. Again, this is a definition of his character, and truthful I might add. Not defamation. The other thing is his suing for defamation. I hope he doesn't spend all $11.20 in profits that he is going to make on his book sales on lawyers, especially on a losing lawsuit. That really would be a shame. Bill

Why would you disagree to that simple statement and how could it be clueless for me to agree with you? It's peculiar to me how you old time posters treat someone who walks in new. Is there a more appropriate way? Hi, I'm new and that song made me cry and I thought the poster Renner was out of line and spread that post throughout many forums. Guess I was crazy or paranoid to imagine such a thing could actually be true. We've seen stranger things, now haven't we? I feel for Maura's loved ones as I do for any missing, abused or abandoned child of God and there are plenty of them out there and some are being discussed on topix and have been for years. Regrets for entering the discussion. I meant you no disrespect. peace regardless

Wowzer the real one wrote: <quoted text> I don't know what is going on in his blog because I won't go there but I do know this. That place is loved by the people of NH and way beyond. It's not a good thing to even have the name mentioned in this toxic dump. He may have bitten off more than he can chew on this one. Please may I say that when I saw that post of Renner's and followed all the links, I did go to the blog and I suppose I am clueless because I don't get it. I entered his thread below and asked how if this were true that Renner is extorting funds for his benefit, why we've not heard about it on the National news. Cold cases don't garner much attention I suppose, but some are obviously still paying attention. I don't care about much that is written on Topix, but this and many other stories are more seriously discussed over the dining room tables of the loved ones that are still holding out hope. Good Day

I check online for an update after the show.. If I find interesting stuff, I post.. I shouldn't be worried that people are trying to find out who I am for looking! It shouldn't be on world wide tv & things like netflix if they didn't want the word out! & for the record... Not cracking on John, but that site for the trading post looks sooooo fun! Honestly, real fun... & there's a hundred children in the pix smiling, that's all that matters! With that "adult" link beside that general store.. I would have a cease & desist within the hour... well said. some ppl take themselves too seriously here...and then create problems for others, like they did to you. it's enough, imo, to state your ideas and let them gi. no need to chase down individuals that may disagree with someone. i don't usually open links...so i probably miss things here and there. Bill the whole concept of "researching" interactively by blog format is preposterous in this situation, especially because so much of the material was previously recorded on various sites...all he needed to do was to read from those sources...and act upon his own research and conclusions. instead, we have a crowdf**k.

There are a few here that push the clueless, disagree etc. buttons when someone replies to a poster that they don't like. Probably has nothing to do with you but everything to do with the person you reply to. Yes it's childish. Welcome to the crazy house where you have to have nerves of steel to survive.

I have been hit with the flu really hard the last few days, so have only just now skimmed through the latest posts and Renner's blog, and am amazed and appalled at what I've seen. I will try to address some of this crapola later, but for right now I just want to say that I'm pretty sure that Renner doesn't know my name and address because I didn't visit any of his pages that night/morning, and also, he wouldn't have hesitated an instant to post my personal info on his blog, like he thought he did with Columbo. Columbo, I know that isn't a photograph of you on Renner's latest blog post. I am glad to hear you have alerted the folks at CTP - I hope they do something about it. I would just like to say thank you to the people who have supported me in the last couple of days, I really appreciate it and the kind things you have said. You are all great people. Oh, and from my long time reading this thread, I am quite sure that the negative judging icons are almost always made by JWB. I'll be back when I'm feeling better - I will probably have a few things to say. ;)

Bill Bill, I want to comment on your comment that Renner now "won't let any dissent at all appear on his blog." I have been as critical of James' posts over the last few months as anyone. I have repeatedly called him out for sensationalism and for at times not treating his followers with respect by not closing loops where he appears to have made an error. Not only has James never banned me or deleted my comments, but we have remained on good terms and he has taken the time to explain some of his actions to me. This shows that he clearly and verifiably tolerates dissent. As such, some other factor explains why certain posts are removed and why they are banned on James' forum. If the situation were as you allege, I would have been banned long ago and many of my comments would be deleted. Clearly, the factor controlling which comments get deleted is the level of anger and harassment toward others in a given post, which sometimes gets clearly inappropriate and clearly destructive to healthy discussion. Sorry to dog you with facts and reality like that. ~ John Green

I hope that was genuine, Jim. And if so, thank you. I think most of what you do is Ridiculous, actually. But let's turn a leaf. As for Columbo, who didn't know it was JWS? Anyone who bothers to read this forum knows that. Geez.

I am very disappointed in the way Rennerīs blog has evolved. It started out very promising, with some actual new stuff on the case and some old rumors confirmed, but lately it seems to be more about outing posters than about finding out what happened to Maura Murray.

Well, I'm outy 5-G's as the kids say these days. Half the comments posted "by" me in the last few days were not me. It seems other's accounts are being misused as well. From what I can tell, this is mostly just one person pretending to be a dozen different people and that just makes my head hurt. It's creepy, really. And sad. The connection to Manchester is very apparent and you have to ask yourself why. The final straw was one very astute reader who showed me evidence that Emmett Dove is Troy Killman. Or vice versa. Be careful, peeps. This is why I don't believe in anonymity on the net. You can find me on my blog or on email. This, I don't know what this is. I think perverse is the word.
