Sorry to interrupt John but,

What was the set up and what makes you feel they were out to get you? What was the motive? I am not being sarcastic or anything like that, I would like to know because I have spoken to Sam and never felt a set up.

While I cannot speak for John, I think that by "set up" he meant "arrange," i.e., Tyler arranged the first call that John made to me.

Sam and I know each others identities, Sam knows Your identity, You know My Identity.

One thing is missing here.

Ok, but I fail to see anything sinister there and I know enough about you guys at least i think that the three of you are actually are in it for the same reason, but might differ on some opinions etc or ways of going about it.
