Almost certainly. And every person that I have read on these forums that insists that she would have been found if she was in the woods. Are all people that have never searched for anything, in those woods. But none of those people will let reality or real experience shake their "knowledge". Bill |
Aftermath, she had frequented there before with her father and I am sure she had no idea of the cost etc to rent a condo. Her dad probably had paid in the past. She was just looking for a place to stay for a short period of time and so she did a search on line and got the salamones number. |

Very good. Your prose confused me initially. What is not sustainable in my opinion is this statement. I have always suspected that her use of subterfuge was to give her enough time to do what she wanted to do. With no one either questioning her actions and to give herself a large amount of time to do what she wanted to do. In other words a very large lead before anyone started looking for her. If it wasn't for the crash, likely no one, would have ever known about what she did, family, friends, coworkers or employers. Or she would have disappeared with a substantial lead before anyone started looking for her. Bill |
Judged: 2 well, that's your opinion, and it's one of many possibilities. there is no evidence of a crime having been committed, and its unclear she even arrived at the location where her car was found...in order to run off into the woods and succumb to the elements; nor was she positively id'd by the SBD. i watch zero crime shows; i read zero mysteries; my preference is non-fiction. she could be alive and well. who knows? |

Your post comes across like you did not know who Maura was calling. Also the phone call from Wakefield to Maura does not exist. I have been reading here for almost 8 years, none that I have seen have been stymied about the condo inquiry. This has already been discussed over & over, which you fail to understand. Nothing wrong with thinking out of the box, but you are making crap up. |

Judged: 2 2 This is incorrect, she was at the scene, she was positively identified. Where did you come up with that idea? |

If you go to the website above and look for Mr. Renner's article, check out no. 5 of the document (name Landry appears at end of document). NOTE Item No. 5 which describes a call made to Maura. Maura DID phone Wakefield that day. Someone north of Wakefield or FROM Wakefield may have returned returned Maura's call (they may have started the trip north into New Hampshire to meet Maura). Of all land mass on planet earth, it seems unusual that Maura phoned Wakefield and received a call from Wakefield/or just "north" of Wakefield ON THE SAME DAY. THE SAME DAY SHE DISAPPEARS. Coincidental? She may have said condo, but what if her call was not actually about condo? Wonder if there was ever any follow-up regarding item No. 5.... |

Problem is there are those who will manipulate the reward as profit and vengeance toward an innocent person. Money makes for loose finger pointing and scores to settle. People kill for a hell of a lot less than that amount. |

FrmLE, She plucks ideas from the air. SBD was a retired police officer and would have been able to guess approximate height and weight of the woman with whom he'd spoken. He believed the woman was Maura. From the sound of things, people in Amherst or anywhere else for that matter were not waiting in line for an opportunity to drive the Saturn. Maura would have been the only one who knew its quirks, its deficits. |

"May have"is not a fact jack. |

Judged: 4 4 3 SBD WAS NOT A RETIRED POLICE OFFICER. Please do not research Topix for factual info. on Maura Murray. You can add Wikileaks too..this is updated with unverified info. |

Judged: 2 Snowy, No one took her fingerprints. In fact, except for SBD (a retired police officer), no one else spoke with her at the accident scene that evening. No one could find her. Remember? SBD stated she rejected his offer of assistance. Story goes she told him she'd already phoned AAA. He did not believe this due to lack of cell phone reception in the area. How about this one? Earlier that day, she had phoned Wakefield, someone had then returned her call from an area somewhere north of Wakefield within a 22-mile radius of cell phone tower at Londonderry. Maura and this unknown individual may have been traveling together, but in separate vehicles. Maura had not accepted SBD's offer of assistance as she anticipated the person traveling with her to VT was somewhere shortly behind on Route 112. Two options: travel companion arrived and transported her out of the area OR someone else arrived at the scene BEFORE her travel companion had arrived and this individual took her out of the area. Haverhill police officer then arrived and Maura is not around. No residents saw who picked Maura up because she may have headed out of the area on foot and was picked up by mystery person out of residents' viewing range down the highway. |

Judged: 2 2 2 Why would a perp take his time to shove a chloroform soaked rag up the tail pipe? Wouldn´t he rather have wanted to take it with him so as not to leave any avidence at the scene? I doubt this theory also partly b/c of the accident scene being in plain sight of several homes, and partly b/c the liquid in the container was said to have been red in color and smelled of alcohol. Chloroform is colorless and has a very charactheristic sweet smell that cannot be mistaken for alcohol. |
