Just read Renner's blog. Wow pretty powerful stuff. Looks like he has a lot of answers to questions we couldn't get. He seems to point the finger at her father. Has he ever provided an alibi to his whereabouts on the night MM went missing. Renner says he didn't sit with LE until 2 years later and brought attorney's. That would raise questions in my mind.

I just find it strange that a small group of woman (or maybe just one, or one sent as a messenger) seems to know information about the case that no one else knows.
Every once in awhile the messenger pops out and throws a small bone out to the posters on the forum and then retreats before any questions can be asked.
Does this person sit behind her moniter and giggle and grin in anticipation, wondering how many will grovel at her feet to get just a little more piece of the bone? What satisfaction could it possibly bring to do this? The Queen of Bash....now the official blivet thrower. Such a strange way to get your kicks.

To my knowledge no but it's hard to answer as fact because I think the LE knows much more than what they are making public. They are the only ones that can answer your question truthfully.

Car salesmen are pretty good at keeping records for leads. Did they ever verify if MM was set to have a car purchased the following weekend before she went missing. Their would be a salesmen who atleast knew what kind of car they wanted, or were looking for.

Her father wasn't even surprised that something was stuffed up the exhaust pipe of her car? He said it was to stop the car from smoking. Your daughter went missing and you don't find that odd?
I would guess that was stuffed up there to hide evidence and they found it and then he had to say something.

I was hoping it was her too but I understand if she doesn't even look at Topix anymore.
For all the help and running around she did her reward was to be beat up, kicked around and then stabbed in the back. She took it hard and I often think about how badly she was treated. Some things never change. Sigh.....

So you feel this is a problem? That the people who are trained and experienced in such work keep the details private to maintain the integrity of a criminal investigaton?
Interesting. I take it that YOU FEEL that cases like this should be handed over to the internet forums for investigation? The keyboard detectives such as yourself are better qualified to handle things like this than the police?
Interesting, me thinks you are dillusional with an extraordinary high opinion of you own intelligence.
If this is 'your thing', may I ask why you didn't pursue a career in Criminal Investigation?
LOL, what an egomaniac.

Going back reading one of the earlier updates on James Rennerīs MM blog, rightly (in my mind) entitled "Forget about Butch Atwood and Rick Forcier", I was surprised to notice that there apparently is yet another permanent residence on Bradley Hill Road close to the Rte 112 intersection, situated more or less across BHR from the ex-RF place.
I didnīt actually previously realise that there are in fact no less than five permanent residences close by in that very area.
All this on-and-off talk about Mauraīs car accident possibly being staged seems completely unlikely considering the amount of permanent residences nearby. If some nefarious person(s) had that kind of intent for whatever reason they only had to continue half a mile down Rte 112 east to find an array of desolate locations to do so.
I firmly believe that we safely can toss the "staged accident" theory onto the scrapheap.

Obviously you can toss out any theories you want to, but that doesn't speak for any "we". It would take just as long to stage as it would if it happened accidently. In the dark, people watching wouldn't know the difference. The entire thing seemed peculiar in some ways based on the witness accounts (a flurry of activity, an acceleration and thud, conflicted ID's, cellphone light vs. cig). So, no, I don't think you can "firmly" rule out anything here based on this logic.

Rod,
You certainly can argue your case how much you want, but I personally remain pretty much convinced that no "staging" of the accident took place.
The MM case is complex and complicated enough in itself.
IMO, there is no need to add any further elements of mystery to what is already a highly mystifying case indeed.

FROM THE BLOGSPOT

At the time of her disappearance, Maura was under a lot of stress, she says. She had quit track to focus on school work. And she was not thrilled about plans to move to Oklahoma with Billy after graduation. "She thought it was in the middle of nowhere, but she was going to move because she loved him."

-and-

In light of the news about Hossein and the location of Maura's last known whereabouts, Kate realizes there was a lot Maura must have kept secret. "The more I think about it, the more I realize I didn't really know her. I don't know what she was doing behind closed doors."

-and-

about Hoss:
He was in incredible shape. He had a big crush on her. So we tried to hook her up. Let's just say we weren't big fans of Billy."

-and from Hoss himself-

Later, he learned she'd been sleeping with other members of the track team. "She was very promiscuous, it turns out."

But that doesn't change the image he has in his mind of the bubbly girl he fell for. "She was super energetic. Always seemed happy. But she was sad, too. Underneath."

By saying that it was perhaps staged is not to "add an element" as you say, since the "facts" if there are any really, point to a rather unusual series of events that just don't add up in any logical way. There is nothing logical to it to begin with. How do you add an element to something that is already illogical? To say that what I am saying is adding elements is not justified and gives a false impression of my statement. I was merely pointing out that your logic does not make it more or less probable that a staging occurred.
