They painted Maura is rose cover red, but bashed anyone who they thought was guilty. Fred would trespass on property and allow Butch Atwood to get smeared while he left out major information about his daughter. Had he just been honest with everyone from the start people wouldn't be so upset as they are now. Fall out is well deserved in this case.

Snowy wrote: <quoted text> looks like Renner is editorializing to play the nice guy. to suggest the burden of responsibility would fall to UMASS is an absurdity. Renner has to play the nice guy, or selse he can't quote anyone from Maura's family in his book. He has to be a politician at this point.

jwb wrote: wicki description of a forum: Forums prefer a premise of open and free discussion and often adopt de facto standards. Most common topics on forums include questions, comparisons, polls of opinion as well as debates. It is not uncommon for nonsense or unsocial behavior to sprout as people lose temper, especially if the topic is controversial. Poor understanding of differences in values of the participants is a common problem on forums. Because replies to a topic are often worded aimed at someone's point of view, discussion will usually go slightly off into several directions as people question each others' validity, sources and so on. Circular discussion and ambiguity in replies can extend for several tens of posts of a thread eventually ending when everyone gives up or attention spans waver and a more interesting subject takes over. It is not uncommon for debate to end in ad hominess attacks. What a hypocrite. You came to this forum and started right in bullying people, telling them what they should or shouldn't say and then telling people that have been here for years that they could/should leave. You should reread the info you posted again and again until you comprehend it.

Tom, Arenīt you somehow managing to blame Maura for the actions or non-actions of her family and friends? Maura herself surely cannot be held personally responsible for whatever her family and friends have been doing or not doing since her disappearance nearly eight years ago. Or do you seriously think otherwise???

Snowy - This is exactly how I feel and I'm so glad you summed it up for me. You and I over the last of days fought over certain things regarding this story of the disappearance of Maura. I think we have been in agreement over the last couple of days. I have always been known for saying what is on my mind. JWB- You are a good man as well and I have valued your posts and your patience. Are you not the least bit disappointed that we are now possible looking for felon vs. The All American Girl that we would brought on to believe.

Bumping for Maura wrote: Lots of Maura haters turning up here recently. A very sorry spectacle indeed. Are you really such perfect individuals yourselves, leading such completely blameless lives? Sanctimonious is the word and it makes me feel sick. I don't think anyone hates Maura. When I saw her picture tonight on Renner's blog it didn't even look like the happy smiling girl we've seen in pictures over the years. She had so much promise only to lose it. I feel sorry for her but I certainly don't feel dislike or hatred.

I blame Maura for her actions and blame her parents for the wasting of others times they will never get back.

Was it wrong that she stole cc numbers. Yes, of course it appears to be a desperate move. I am still interested in uncovering more facts as to what happened. Just because someone is not squeeky clean does not mean they are not worthy of compassion and help.

There is a difference between a gangbanger and a 21 year old girl that was accepted at West point and yes got off track (CC) with Pizza orders. I prefer to look at ones positive attributes until the bad out weigh the good. everyone is different I guess, but that is my outlook.

Tom, So you obviously are in the know as regards what happened to Maura after the accident on Rte 112. You have quite clearly ruled out foul play in this context, judging by your comments. The problem here is that whatever happened to Maura after her crash on Rte 112 constitutes as much a mystery now as before Mr Rennerīs most recent revelations. If I interpret your comments correctly, you are more or less saying that everybody should now give up searching for Maura and that whatever happened to her she brought upon herself, even though that "whatever" still might include any kind of possible foul play.

I think everyone thought Maura was the positive case to look at but we jsut don't know anymore and that is why I and I'm sure many others are disappointed. This is why case had so much appeal. I'm honestly scared as to how much more will come out, and what was the final event that caused her to leave.
