jwb wrote: Tom, in other words your theories that you have been throwing out there are not allowed. No talking about maura #2. There are no facts to support that. You need to talk about the innocents, shack and firecat only. If you get stuck don't worry, Bill and wowzer are their to bail you out. ~J You seem to be stuck on stupid. You claim to live in this area, Lincoln/Woodstock so I'll ask you how you think it's OK that the people in this area (which would include you) thru the years have been called rats in a nest, live by incest, we should all be sprayed with Lysol, we're illiterate nasty scumbags? These words and much more came from your new buddy shack. And her few friends goaded her on and even helped and never told her it was wrong to bash the people that were trying to help Maura. If you really think it's right to do what was done to the people here that were trying to help then I guess I give up trying to understand people.

mcsmom wrote: IMO it seems like the change in Maura's physical features might be the result of some type of metabolic occurrence that would promote rapid age progression. Maybe Maura was a participant in the HRPO studies at UMASS. She would have been monetarily compensated. In 2002 one study (see below) monitored the athletic effects of oral contraceptives and muscle recovery, although there were many other studies pertaining to athletes as well. Savage KJ, and PM Clarkson. Oral contraceptive use and exercise-induced muscle damage and recovery. Contraception. 66, 67-71, 2002. Wow! Beagles got competition. Was she slugging the oral contraceptives down with health drinks?

I don't have blinders on to the point that I say to myself all locals are incapable of harm to others. i have seen more trashing here of Maura and her family than I have of SBD and RF. In fact I have only seen inquiries or possibilities of sbd and RF. I have not seen any trashing or personal attacks against either since I joined in the talk. If I am wrong please re post and I will respond. Wowzer you are stuck on SBD

I honestly don't care about what others say on Topix about me or anyone else that lives in my area. There are good and bad people just like everywhere else.People can think or say what they want. I am not insecure to the point that I think it makes any difference. As it was said on an earlier post. This stuff took place on the old MMM forum and that hasn't been going in over three years. Get over it already! The people that are posting here are not trashing any locals. maybe you and your Buddies should practice what you preach and stop trashing Maura and her family.

I have noticed the info tag (at times) in the top right corner of the Topix page about changes in rights of information and this must be what you are talking about Mcsmom.

I do believe that Butch's estate and heirs should be informed of this. I have stated before that I am certain they have a good case. They may only get $25.63 from Shack (estimated 20% of all of her assets) but at least it would vindicate Butch, show the world what a lowlife Shack is and expose her to the world. Sounds like win-win to me. And just in case you ask. I could never be accused of defamation of Shack, only definition. Bill

Gee, How unusual it is to want to question the last person that sees someone that goes missing. I bet LE would never interview this person. If they did, I am sure he would be consistent with his statement.

Based on the judging, there are some people that don't want Shack sued. That is precious. Bill

There are four people (or shack voted four times) who think its a bad idea to sue Shack. I wonder why they didn't think it was a bad idea when mcsmom brought it up? Bill

Threatening now to keep people silent and make them fear a suit if they speak their minds? You're a piece of work. Shack should be shaking in her boots after reading your reply.

Tom wrote: <quoted text> It is speculative. Just like calling her a trouble girl is speculative. How do you know she was really troubled? Did she tell you? Maybe she decided to become a thief. Most of all we have of this girl is speculation. Now what we have from Maura shows a girl with many issues. You say she was stealing because of an eating disorder, and I say she developed the eating disorder from being sexual molested. Research shows their is a 50% chance of this happening. If her father didn't want to get into her issues before she went away raises my interest in his role in developing Maura's eating disorder. Keep in mind Mr. Maura had no problem blaming other people for Maura's disappearance. He is very good at the blame game. If he honestly thought Maura's problems developed at school he would have pointed his finger at the colleges. If the "athlete" eating disorder approach is what you want to use, than Fred would have blamed the schools for this. He didn't bring up her eating disorder because maybe he didn't want them to dig to far. Tom, the content of your post is a hot button / catalyst that unleashes a pattern of passive/aggressive attacks here on Topix. mention of cc fraud, an eating disorder, and sexual molestation, even by way of speculation, were prohibited by the rules of Helena's original, moderated MMM forum where mention of these and other topics were strictly prohibited. posters were punished and excluded if they dared to explore these considerations. to my understanding, a similar code of protected language is still in place at an updated, closed FB group page. JRenner's investigation and research has brought renewed life and interest to MM's disappearance, and discussion to Topix, as well as to his blog. he has also broken through barriers formed by those who have seemingly maintained a "code of silence" that surrounds the topic of MM's life before her disappearance. the desired image has been the perfect, All-American student/athlete and victim. it is in this context that local NH residents have been accused, directly and indirectly, for her disappearance; to wit, SBD, and more recently, RF. it is in her name that free speech would be silenced...or that bullying and threatening might also accomplish that end. your posts stood out to me as bold and refreshingly honest. i am informing you of the undercurrent here....the remnants of the "code" that has been carried over so many years to posters who have come and gone. the enforcers of the "code", the antithesis of free speech, revert to bullying tactics instead of engaging in direct conversation to confirm or deny the facets and elements of MM's life that would predispose her to a disappearance 8 years ago....be it suicide, abduction, homicide or runaway. and yet, there has been the constant appeal to "find Maura Murray". it will be a challenge for you and other to keep this perspective, and as i said a few days ago, it has been tiresome for several of us to oversee, but it is in this light that if and when resolution occurs, it will be in the context of facts and truth about MM that her disappearance will be understood.

Tom wrote: <quoted text> Do we know if Maura's bank account was only hers? I have a lot of bank accounts that are shared with other family names. If the accounts are shared with other family memebers than those family memebrs can take money from that account as well. Actually Tom, I was wondering about that, too. If her parents had access to her checking account or statements, they might have noticed buying lots of pizza/takeout and asked her about it. I know mom & dad had access to my checking account for years, from college until I got married. They never did anything or snooped, but you need someone on the account with you in case of emergency. It wouldn't be unheard of. I'm becoming more and more convinced she was hiding bulimia. Steal the credit card number, hide the problem from parents. Hello, hope everyone's well.
