The names, who was living in the houses and the exact location of the 5 houses within sight of the crash was made public on the first MMM bashing forum. The questioning started 8 years ago and continued. Guess you can't blame people for getting a little snarly when people are still coming around 8 years later with more questions.

If the locals hadn't phoned the authorities, and if the bus driver didn't stop, even less would be known about what happened to Maura. My family would be thanking those people.

Amen, sister. Unfortunately for the SBD, he was the last one to see Maura alive (that anyone knows of). Comes with the territory. I wouldn't say he's a hero, but it was good of him to stop and ask to help.

Frostman,Thank you,thats just as I thought.There might STILL be a bad guy out there&you never know,it could be a local.Ted Bundy was a local to somebody too.Everyone Is suspect.Protecting a whole town of people is just silly.My neighbors could be killers,they seem nice,but who knows.I truly hate to keep harping on this but it seems like there is a contingent here that doesnt want to include EVERY suspect.Mention the locals&get vilified.

I honestly dont think that they would say it... it would just be action.. I have famiglia in all 5 boroughs.. & if ya grew up there, then you know aswell as I that.. the actions speak louder than words.. usually with someone found ohh say near the docks, or maybe down in Jersey... IF ever found..

personally, I wished they would release/find/figure something out.. so maybe everyone gets some closure..

with the "locales" defending their neighborhood everyday.. makes me think it would be a nice place to live, cus hell, I suppose if I were local & something happened, they'd defend me also! Its one of the raritys left in America, Honor Thy Neighbor..

One thing that I noticed reading this whole thread, is that people come & go.. but there are certain ones that have remained through it all.. I looked it up on the map, & its a little over 800 miles from me.. There are always atleast 3 sides to ever story, but the ones that have stayed, maintain their "distinct" side each & everyday..

I been looking to move.. seems like somewhere I could end up.. 14 or so hours isnt that bad..
