amy researches wrote: <quoted text> <quoted text> I get what you're saying. I would like to clarify, I don't expect that everyone should use their real name online. However, if an anonymous person wants to make a claim that "I am who I say I am. The info I'm stating is true because I am who I say I am," then that doesn't hold much water with me. Either back up what you're saying with some proof, or prove your identity if you want me to believe you. That's all I meant. it is often presumed one's level of honesty and authenticity is best represented by using one's actual name in forum discussions. it's a matter of personal choice. i understood you to mean, amy, that when presenting info as fact, it may be accepted as correct when one uses one's real name. again, a personal choice. there has been a great deal of deception around this subject and on these forums. most opt to be anonymous posters.

This horse shit again. Hey Columbo. Throw another turd over the wall and see if you can get everyone to dance around it for another couple of months. Is this more of your "speculation"? I'm not wasting anymore time on the crap you put out there. Enjoy arguing with yourself. Bill

Jenkins wrote: <quoted text> First of all early on there was def more than one person who reported hearing that on the scanner. On the original mauramurray.com site in 05 there was at least 2 posters who said they heard it, I wish I could access those forums/my emails from back then bc it would clear up a few things. In addition to people hearing it on the scanner there were people whosupposedly witnessed the accident and a dark colored car being involved/leaving the scene. Put this together with the damage to the vehicle. This damage did not come only from a snowbank or hitting a tree. The car is damaged on the drivers side above the bumper, then there's no damage to the bumper. Then theres damage below the bumper that is consistent with hitting a snowbank. You can't ignore evidence to try to make it fit your theory, evidence is evidence. How could a snowbank possibly damage above the bumper, below the bumper but not the bumper? I've lived in nh for 12 yrs, and new England my whole life and that damage does not look like a hit to a snowbank ive ever seen. Everything below the bumper does, but that sharp dent above the bumper does not. It looks like she hit the bumper of a truck. Now consider that we have reports of a red truck, with mass plates no less, in the area at the time...on top of that the red truck was driving around clearly looking for someone. How can we just ignore this?? Is this a councidence?? Her car looks like it hit a truck, there's reports of an earlier accident and antruck in the area looking for someone Jenkins,I agree the red truck can not be ignored. But would the people that witnessed this dark colored vehicle say it was red?Or did one tall dark vehicle hit her&the Red truck was following her up from Ma.?

Maura didn't just spin out around the corner at the wb. She hit the snowbank on the left side of the road which caused her to spin around an end up facing into traffic. Her car had a rag stuffed deep in the tailpipe. Her car lost power coming up to the turn at the WB, sho she lost her power steering as well. This accident was certainly more than just an inexperienced driver spinning out around a corner. Who ever crashes into the bank on the inside of the corner? That is unless something is seriously wrong with your vehicle, such as losing power. I don't understand how the rag in the tailpipe isn't a bigger deal. She had a rag stuffed deep into her tailpipe!!! That is a way to disable a car. I have to doubt anyone's ability to reason If they don't think that rag is evidence of foul play. We have a beautiful young girl who is missing and a Rag was found stuffed deep into her tailpipe. This is ridiculous, clearly she was abducted. Anyone who is saying the rag isn't important is either trying to cover up for some person or reason, or just has absolutely no knowledge of an internal combustion engine. I know people r gonna say "but fred said that he told her to put it there" but that's just insane. Honestly the fact that he said that he told her that makes him the prime suspect IMO. NO ONE in their right mind would ever tell there daughter that!! Unless they are just a complete idiot, & Fred does nuclear medicine, or something involving nuclear. So he ain't no idiot. Who was Fred trying to cover for when he said that?? What the hell is going on here?

Not necessarily. I'm probably not coming through clearly. My fault. I'm tired. Let me try again.:-) I'm going to pick on Columbo for a minute to illustrate my point: If Columbo wants to tell me the grass is green, I don't care if he's a PI or a boot salesman. If Columbo wants to tell me "The accident report is wrong. Here is a document back up my statement," then it still doesn't matter whether he is a PI or a boot salesman. If Columbo wants to tell me "The accident report is wrong, and you should believe me because I'm a PI on the case and have talked to several witnesses," then it matters whether he is a PI. It doesn't mean he might not be wrong, or lying, but it makes things a bit more credible than if he is a boot salesman. I take no issue with most people here being anonymous. Most people here are not claiming to be professionals with inside info about the case. At least not that I have seen so far.

Well I have a mechanical engineering degree. Been working in engineering (mostly software modeling mechanical processes) for 25 years. I still want to know who Columbo's "expert" was. I believe, to put it bluntly, that he and his "expert" are full of shit and have stated that openly and repeatedly with no response forthcoming. When you tell someone that they are full of shit, in an open forum, and no response is forthcoming, how strong is their case. Seriously? Bill

I feel like whoever was in the red truck met her somewhere along the way and they caused her to rear-end them. Trying to disable her vehicle. When they saw that the accident didn't filly disable it they may have then shoved the rag up the tailpipe to make sure that her car wasn't going to make it farther. If they were traveling with her and had nefarious plans for her they wouldn't want her car to b there. Say they were going to a hotel. If he was planning on hurting her then getting rid of her car would be a problem. He may have though "hey if I can disable her car here then no one will have any idea where the hell she is" He probably knew that the accident site was no where near where they were going and 112 was kind of out of the way. Maybe that's why he suggested that route. It seems to me like this whole thing was planned. Maura was thinking she was getting away to jaw fun for a few days and he had other plans. Unfortunately shit like this happens all the time. Not these circumstances obviously but people murder others for the stupidest reasons you would ever hear.

Oh, more than just saying he was full of shit. I have offered, more than once, reasons why. Told people how to model that hood and get the same type of damage. Having done that, I call bullshit on Columbo and his "expert" Bill
