I just have to say something else I noticed in the arrest pic. Honestly I feel bad saying this, like I'm telling one of maura's secrets or something but I feel it's got to be said.
Look at her eyes in that picture, particularly her pupils. They are huge, I hate to say this but she is definitely tweaked in that picture. She had done some sort of speed that night, most likely Ritalin or adderall, possibly Coke but Maura doesnt seem like the type who would b hanging out in her room blowing lines of coke. Meth basically isn't available in new england so I'm sure it wasn't that. Back then adderall was mostly new and certainly not popular like it is today on campus. Most likely it was Ritalin.
Look how huge her pupils are, look how wide her eyes r open. Unfortunately I've seen this before. That pic was taken in the hallway of a dorm where there bright fluorescent lighting so if anything her pupils should be small, they clearly aren't.
I can tell you she def did some sort of stimulant that night, I can't say she ever did it before but I would bet that's the reason for her erratic behaviors prior to her disappearance.
I've seen it too many times, these girls with all these classes, jobs and responsibilities start taking this shit with the best of intentions, to help them study all night, and often it spirals out of control.
This shit totally fucks with your brain chemistry, particularly to people who've never done drugs in their life very much, and I would bet she never did any drugs in high school or even at west point.
What happens is it starts innocently and with good intentions and then once they start doing it every day that's usually when things in their life starts going haywire. I've seen it far too many times and it kills me. I fucking hate speed, I fucking hate what it does to these girls.
This could also explain why she didn't get charged in the accident in Hadley when we know she had been drinking earlier. If you eat a couple adders la you can drink all nite and barely get drunk.
I'm sure I'm gonna get flamed for this post and some of you won't believe me, but I can tell you that the night she got arrested in Amherst she was definitely tweaked on some sort of speed.
Just look at her, I've seen that look on too many girls' faces to think anything different.
oh, and one more.
nice language, buddy. "classy", as the hater would say.
ballsy commentary. looks like the topix jury is in agreement with you.

Talked to us both and it left us both unnerved. I knew someone who traced his plate for us. Even though I frustrate you and irratate you, if you knew the details of this, it would shock you, seriously. You have said before you are done with me and don't believe a word I say. which makes me discouraged. Believe this, this missing person case has larger implications than you know or I want to know.
Reviewer replied:
Anne you are psychotic, a crazy conspiracy theorist in desperate need of a new dose of her 5 minutes of attention. You are a lonely old lady who lives alone in a trailer with her scanner as her only companion. Hubby exists in your imagination only. Sad. The attention you get from this forum is about the only thing that's keeping you alive.
and for a number of posts, i took it on the chin from a true hater. the hater's wrath was misdirected.
the challenge was to reply to "reviewer".
the hater, in his blind rage, failed to hit the target.
to the hater:
Anne once wished for me that someone from my family would disappear. she must not be a mother.
in general:
while i don't worship Maura, i don't mock her; in fact, i've defended her and exhibited great compassion over the years. recently, i've firmly advocated that her choices and actions prior to her disappearance are important.
I'm confident in the fact that you can't track a tag from a "major investigative agency". If Local LE whether it be sheriff or police run a tag of a potential "major investigative agency" vehicle it will come up as a no hit. From there you have to assume who the agency is. You will also be asked by your superiors why you randomly ran a no hit plate.

Your local friend who ran the plate for you will then tell you stop posting this on the message boards. The police officer who ran the plate would continue to hear grief every time you told the story by the "major investigative agency" that is following this message board so closely.

When someone calls your boss, & he says "leave it alone", thats what you do in my unique position.. Also many calls cursing me, it has nothing to do with anyone that post here, that I know of.. thank you for offering a detailed explanation. makes sense.
practical people who are not gullible tend not to take kindly to having their intelligence insulted.

as some of us have said before, there seems to be a rich fantasy life associated with Maura Murray's disappearance....people have infused their lives with keeping her presence....worshipping her, so to speak.

Every ID Discover disappeared case has an underlying reason that makes up the body of the story on why someone disappeared. Drugs, alchol, money, family problems, crime. Maura's theme was "she was going to get away" It was very vague.

No honors student just randomly decides to pack up and leave for a week when school starts. I think her case/story is very clear that she was trying to get away from something. It is unclear what that something was.

I want to know the motive that made her want to leave. Deans list students don't randomly walk away from classes.

i didn't think someone could intimidate a self-proclaimed tough guy.
many posters here enjoy following mysteries; i don't. nor do i subscribe to generalized conspiracy theories. it's an uphill battle to try to establish facts when information is hidden. it's like shifting with your right hand tied behind your back.
anyway, enjoy your day.

You have a lot to add to this forum. If you took a little venom out and added a little sugar I think it will go a long way. You offer strong insight that I think sometimes gets lost in your "tone".

Jenkins,
I believe you might be on to something here.
If we presume that Maura to some extent might have been using some kind of drugs at times, could she then perhaps have been threatened in some ways which in combination with her theoretical drug use might have compelled her to suddenly up and leave Amherst?
Of course, what happened after the WB Curve crash may not necessarily have anything directly to do with what ever followed.

And lets look at another part of this disappearance. Why does a girl who drives a wreck of a car have to get away that week and drive the wreck on a road trip? Why wouldn't she wait for her new car that was suppossed to be purchased that weekend? Why did she have to leave that day with that car?

If she had to leave that day why didn't she rent a car?

well, it's never stopped Anne from posting all of these years. ever.
puzzling.
Let me try this one more time, as I did not intend to be cryptic.

I'm not leaving because of some conspiracy or to start a new forum or because of what Anne said. What Anne said alarmed me, because I have been receiving unwanted phone calls. I'm not going into detail about that on a public forum, but it's my fault for putting my info out there.

The bottom line is, there is no point in my being here. There is little-to-no intelligent discussion or tasteful debate. There is rather a lot of pointless cruelty, senseless accusations, passive-aggressive BS, paranoia and drama. I did not come here to audition for a role in a bad reality tv show, and that's what being here feels like.

My email address is still in my profile. Anyone who wants to keep in touch, feel free to write.

Best wishes to all.

Carry on.:-)

Lighthouse,
I agree.
Apart from fleeing some kind of real or perceived threat, drug-related or not, the only other thing that I can think of as being so pressing as to necessitate an immediate flight from Amherst would be if Maura´s Saturn was somehow, one way or other involved in the hit-and-run case in downtown Amherst, MA, involving Petrit Vasi.
Maura might not herself have been driving the car at the time, but she might have lent it to a friend of hers.
Remember that Mr Vasi´s condition remained critical for quite some time, so the hit-and-run (if involving Maura´s car) might have all too easily have turned into a manslaughter and fleeing the scene of an accident charge.
