I agree with you there.
Most things seem to indicate that the red truck seen by witness RO in Swiftwater village and the red truck seen parked some way up BHR by a passing witness was likely one and the same.
So if Maura walked the short distance from her stranded car to the Rte 112/BHR intersection, the red truck (if parked some way up BHR) might well have come down BHR, quickly stopping at the 112 intersection before picking Maura up and speeding west or east on 112.
Whether the driver of the red truck was Maura´s known friend or unknown foe is clearly impossible to know.
Just a thought here:
What if the SBD were in fact sitting in his bus doing his paperwork at about the same time that the red truck came down BHR and stopped to pick Maura up, willingly or not, at the 112 intersection.
On Google Map Street views it seems that there is a light on 112 at the intersection with BHR. Provided that this light was in fact in working order on the night of Feb 9th 2004 the intersection should have been fairly well lit.
What if SBD did in fact see Maura being picked up - willingly or not - sitting in his bus?
What if he, as Hannah here has previously speculated, did see that the red truck with Maura onboard sped away going west towards Swiftwater village. Perhaps this could be, as Hannah says, why a search was only made towards the west?
Whether the red truck sped off east or west, perhaps SBD recognised the truck and for some reason felt so scared by what he noticed that he feared for his own and his family´s safety?
Just speculating wildly...

Correct we don't know where she went- I do know the area very well and if she wanted to commit suicide the best bet IMO would be to go to the east ? why go back to a well lite place if that was your plan?
again playing two sides of the coin,
If she was suicidal then the best option is east but everyone(not me) thinks she went West towards civilization.
but there's no indication that she was suicidal....yes a lot of things were going wrong, but I haven't seen anything that would indicate a suicide attempt

I can't say for sure, but I remember that corner being much darker in 2004 when we bought here. I think the spotlight at the WB was installed later

It is not the same Fred Murray. This is also 1 week after maura went missing.

And this has been proven not to be the Fred, mauras Dad.

I don't believe SBD could see the intersection if he backed his bus all the way back, but from his porch he would have been able to see. "stand" on BHR using google and you will see his porch windows and then pan to see what JM could see.

agree with that SBD would not see the accident- but if he was in his Bus he should have seen BHR and anyone passing by-But he did go in to tell his wife to call 911(why not call yourself)

Det Columbo,
I´m still intrigued by your previous statement that the EMS crew at Maura´s accident site is supposed to have remarked that the scene looked "odd"...
Would you possibly know anything more about this statement?
Thanks!
