'civility' was not giving Beagle a cheap drive-by psychiatric diagnosis on this forum, nor was it repeating personal info about him.
'civility' isn't, to this day, implying SBD's guilt at any level.
what the hell are you talking about?

Really Dawn?? I have so many responses for you it isn't funny, so I actually will just humor you.
I will repeat my self again regarding POI, because you apparently read the same way as you type, half-assed.
They have the CD? They most likely looked into who he was. Seeing as he IS NOT A POI, tells me he has nothing to do with Maura being gone. That is my point.
You may not have stated anything negative, but if it's no big deal why are you keeping it under wraps? Why release any name, with zero information or proof. To show people you are "privy" to gossip??
So if you just want to bring him up just on the fact that she was seeing someone else besides Billy, take that road. Until I see proof I will take it as a nasty rumor.
You still haven't responded to why you regretted posting the info, then posted it again, the again regretted doing so???
This is why I think you are playing games. You keep feeling bad about posting the info, only to repost it. Now your trying to minimize it & turn it into me calling a made up boyfriend a POI.
Why would cheating on a boyfriend at 21 years old in college be a "nasty" rumor? Why not say a rumor? Is cheating on someone when you're not married or engaged considered nasty?

excellent point.
and, of course, the answer is that her rep is being protected, whether such a circumstance proves to be true or untrue.

Listened to the discovery videos again last night. Didn't pick this up before but, Mr Scarznia,(sp) said that they DO believe it was Maura on the phone to Billy on Tuesday in that mystery phone message.
I only recall police saying it was static, but it was included in the new discovery segment #4, I believe.

Dear Snowy,

That post was from my blackberry. I believe I have stated a few times when I post from it, my location changes. This is the first time I have seen it come up as San Jose though. I can't help this and I don't know why it happens. If you don't want to believe where I am from, I really don't care as I have nothing to prove to you. Why are you so obsessed with this? Look, your welcome to ignore my posts. I have even made an account, but sometimes I don't bother signing in as MANY others on this forum don't.

Sorry I don't play letter games. There was Butch's house, a house on each corner of Bradley Hill RD, the small cabin where the car went off the road and then the house across from the Weathered Barn. 5 houses.
And just before the curve within a short walking distance there were more houses that Maura passed.
Does it really make a difference if there were 4 or 5 houses?
Either way she chose not to go to any of them for help.
Why did she not go to these houses that evening? This is a good question. Maura would not simply approach anyone for assistance. She did not accept assistance from the school bus driver. After the school bus driver left, someone else came by that evening...someone that anyone would normally have reason to trust. This indivdual most likely appeared on the scene in that 15 to 16- minute before the Haverhill officer arrived. Maura felt safe and trusted this individual. There is every reason to believe that this person took Maura out of the area. Why? One good reason 'why' is that searches never resulted in Maura being found in the area where she was last seen. Someone transported her out of that vicinity.

Should be pretty obvious:
A man MIGHT have been travelling in the Saturn with Maura (?)at the time of the incident/accident on Rte 112.
IIRC a bottle of beer was also found in the Saturn, and as far as I can recall Maura is supposed not to have been drinking beer.
One of the rear windows was also slightly open and Mrs W-n at the Weathered Barn reported seeing a main in/by the Saturn.
No conclusive evidence by any means, but certainly worth some consideration.
My understanding is that the accident occurred around 7 p.m. or shortly thereafter Feb 9. Surely, in most areas of the northeast in February it is dark at that time. Especially at a distance, in the darkness it would be difficult if not impossible to determine the gender of someone who is sitting in a car.

The news ( Huffington post ) quoted preliminary reports as hypothermia. Also my pick is with the dogs losing the scent, if she was abducted into a car I find it hard to believe they would drive ALL the way to an exit with a toll booth, turn around and bring to within a 1/4 mile of her car and dump her. This woman had a severe mental condition and it appears this may have resulted in her bizarre actions that led to her death.
Maura had no severe "mental condition." Her actions would lead one to believe that while she may not have wanted those around her to be cognizant of her plans, there is every reason to believe that her actions were not "bizarre." In fact there is strong evidence to support the belief that her thoughts were organized, goal directed and future oriented. Her behaviors were purposeful and because they may have not have fit into the conceptual range of the average person, this does not mean that her actions were bizarre. All reports lead one to believe that in several areas Maura was an above average young woman in several areas. Therefore, it would seem reasonable to believe that others might have difficulty planning and conceptualizing from Maura's perspective.

obsession is not commenting on the obvious, Sara. most often a device will record specific, not random, locations on topix. i know this from traveling and posting; and on those few occasions, prefacing my comments as such.
it's always interesting to match a poster's point of view with his/her reason for posting. that's all.

i agree. Dawn is about as forthcoming, authentic and as persistent as anyone i know. that she has made concrete offers to assist Maura's family directly, and is touched by the missing, in general, is enough to demonstrate her generosity of spirit and concern for Maura.

Esteemed board posters,

Why this sudden hatred against Dawn?
What has she done in order to deserve such a vicious battering?
Dawn does seem genuinely concerned as for Maura´s fate and I´m appalled at the vitriolic contents in post # 1805.
The responsible poster behind those remarks should also learn how to spell correctly and stop screaming in capital letters.
I´m sincerely aghast that the poster in question apparently enjoys such a massive outpouring of support here, if the judging icons are to be believed.
This thread risks being shut down if this kind of very nasty personal attacks continue in a similar vein.
