Definitive conclusion? Yes, maybe. You would think with the incredibly high number of people interested in this case a definitive conclusion would be made and the case practically solved.
Case practically solved? Who knows.
What's your take?

Judged: 3 3 2 So what can be concluded with relative certainty is: A. She did not go into the woods B. She had to have gone East on 112 or down a side road on the east side of the accident C.Someone picked her up after her walking several miles or immediately at the accident scene Really the only four possible leads that can looked into are The "red truck" The A frame house The phone call Billy Rausch recieved and the sighting by Rick Forcier of an individual walking east on 112 near route 116. All of these should get further attention but really only the police or private investigators have the resources to try and make something out of these leads or dismiss them completely. oh and to cite the rag found in the tailpipe: Fred Murray explained to Maura that if the car ever smoked from the exhaust to simply put the rag in the tailpipe to prevent this. I am well aware that this is actually a counterintuitive thing to do as it can make a car stall but the rag was from Maura's trunk and her car was in rough mechanical condition so I do not feel an abductor did this as it would make no sense and waste valueable time for him. |

Judged: 3 2 2 Renner is now asking about a red truck. I wonder if anyone will actuallly put there real name to the testimony about it. I will be interested to see if he verifies it, or debunks it. |

Judged: 2 2 1 Ok I think I see what you're saying. Yes, some of the statements on the record do clearly say they are trying to protect people who have talked to them, such as this: "Ms. Smith: You have indicated that revealing material that has been withheld could endanger people that have talked to you, by providing that information to persons of interest... Sgt. Landry: Yes." http://mauramurray.blogspot.com/2012/02/what-... However, they clearly say persons of interest or person of interest many times. So I think we are talking about two separate things? Yes, they want to protect their sources. But also, yes they clearly do (or did) have persons of interest - meaning they do suspect a crime was committed. Correct me if I am misunderstanding what you're saying. |

Judged: 4 4 3 Ummm, what the hell r u talking about snowy? Your post makes no sense Why do u come to this thread if not to out forth theories? I see u out forth a lot of assumptions and statements but rarely have I ever seen u make a meaningful post supported by facts. So now u think the red truck is just a flight of fancy? An imagined thing? So r u saying RO made it up? If your not saying that then how do u account for a vehicle w mass plates, who was clearly looking for someOne, in the exact same time and the exact same place as Maura? That's just a coincidence? What's your theory? That she went in the woods to die? Your from Nh right? How freakin far do u think she really could've gotten in those woods without even wearing boots? Not very far, she is not in the woods, at least not near that crash site. Do u think she went and started a new life? I hope to god that's what happened but let's be realistic here...barely 2 months earlier she got busted ordering pizza w a stolen cc directly to her dorm room, not exactly frank abignale jr.. R we supposed to believe she went from the worst criminal in the world to some sort of mastermind criminal in the span of 2 months? I just am having a hard time of understanding exactly why your here snowy. All you do is make weird comments talking shit but u never bring any facts to the table of why your right. Like when u say suggesting McKay might've has something to do with it u say it's ludacris...well ok you might b right but why is it so ludacris? If it's such a crazy suggestion there's gotta b some reason why it's crazy. I'm sorry bit just saying something is crazy doesn't make it crazy. If its so ridiculous it should b that much easier to disprove. It's funny bc when several people made the point of saying that suggestion was insane, and nor one of them had anything resembling a reason why it was wrong, it actually makes me think I'm on to something. That's the classic argument when someone is wrong but won't admit it, just sat it's "crazy". It would suck if everyone just agreed. I know that some of the theories I propose or support r wrong, they can't all b right. So if something is so crazy, so stupid, then it should b super easy to dispove. It would b great if someone who knows why something is crazy would tell us so we could atop considering it a theory. It's funny cuz the more people who say it's crazy without any facts to support it, the more I think we might b onto something. I don't wanna pick on u snowy, I just really don't understand what your saying in your post and now that I think about it why your even here. Not that u aren't welcome, anybody should voice their opinion but do u even have an opinion or is your opinion just that everyone is wrong |

Judged: 2 2 2 What a wicked douchebag this guy is. I love how he's "frmLE", like that should make us believe what he's got to say lol. Another one of these guys that is bringing absolutely nothing to the table, has no theory except that every theory is wrong, maybe she killed herself or drank herself to death. I got news for u "frmLE", one of these theories is right. It's gotta b. I'd bet anything that if this case is ever proven, one of the theories put forth on topix, or maybe the old mm forum is gonna turn out to n correct. It's gotta b. So eliminating theories is a legitimate thing to do. If u can eliminate things based on facts, then that leaves only a couple options of what could've happened that night. All else being equal it looks like This red truck is the most likely explanation. Makes more sense that LE being directly responsible. In the exact same place at the exact right time, also w mass plates and definitely looking for someone on the road! Find that red truck, find the perp IMO. What do u think frmLE? Lemme guess, red truck is ridiculous right? Any particular reason? What r your thoughts on the Nh league of investigator's findings? This is 10 retired nhsp detectives doing an independent investigation pro-Bono bc they felt like it was an interesting case. They came to the conclusion that there was 2 accidents that night and the scene we see at the weathered barn was most likely staged. They also felt that the sbd knew a lot more than he ever said to anyone and was clearly lying about crucial facts. They believed the the sbd was scared of whoever committed this crime. What's your thoughts on that? They're all wrong too? |

Judged: 2 2 2 From the Patriot Ledger 3/3/04 Sgt. Beausoleil said another tip, from a woman who was walking on Route 112 in Bath, N.H., on Feb. 9, also could not help investigators develop a criminal case. The woman reported a suspicious man in a red pickup truck with Massachusetts plates eyeing her near the Stage Stop general store in Bath at about 7 that night. According to the woman, the man left when she went into the store and headed east toward the accident scene. Ten minutes later, the woman saw Haverhill police go by in the same direction, responding to the accident. ‘‘She didn't have a license plate number, so that doesn't give us anything,'' Beausoleil said.‘‘We don't feel confident it's connected.'' so what now?

Judged: 2 2 2 Based on my knowledge of the case, I would say that less than 20% of the information posted on here to be "fact" is in reality completely incorrect and inaccurate and has been investigated countless times and dismissed during the investigation. I understand you will dismiss this by saying the cops don't know what we are doing, there is a coverup, the fix is in, etc.... However, remember for those of you who spend so much time here 'searching for the truth' and 'trying to find Maura' that the information you are using to form your opinions is pretty much innacurate. Unless you have the real case file, or are conducting a THOROUGH, in depth independant investigation, you are just guessing. And note I said a THOROUGH investigation, not to be confused with what columbo does. Asking absurd questions on an anonymous internet forum isn't exactly thorough. But hey, have fun anyway. |

The photograph showing the dashboard of Maura's Saturn with the gas gauge indicating an almost full tank of gas was provided by Mcsmom and is apparently the original Bernie Marvin (NCN) photo. Presumably the car was turned on or at least powered to auxiliary. See posts #17627 and #17640. |
Judged: 2 2 2 I hate to be so damned smug, but this has been my contention and complaint from day 1. Quite obviously, a house built on a foundation from partial facts and misinformation will readily collapse and nev be occupied. Eight long years of spinning a web. The core of this effort, this so-called "investigation" is fundamentally,, persistently and hopelessly flawed. Not to mention the tedium factor. |
