In all seriousness I think that Maura started running eastbound on Route 112 after the accident. The police did not search east of the accident upon arrival and neither did Butch Atwood when he went looking or Maura in the minutes after. The police found virtually no sign of Maura at the scene or in the surrounding areas so this would make sense. Either she was picked up in the 7-8 minutes she was left alone at the accident scene or she started running eastbound and likely made it to the Route 116 intersection. She ran 5 miles everyday so she would have covered ground very fast. This also correlates with Rick Forcier's story. Why do so many people not believe this possiblity? I feel she was picked up much further down the road then we think.

If he was a copper (highly doubtful) then presumably he was unceremoniously removed from his job as a public servant for obvious reasons. I wouldn't trust him within a hundred miles of family, friends or farm animals. I think we all should stay out of the frmle and Det Columbo wars. This is a forum for Maura. LE always protects their own. That's why frmle probably went nuts. I would like to see the Columbo post telling Jenkins what he wrote about mckay was wrong and out of line. I'd also like to know why if this forum is about Maura and Columbo worked for the family, but half is posts are jokes or about where he is eating. Then he posts something out of left field and then it is then attempted to be force fed to readers under the guise "he is who he says he is". I'm going on record I like Columbo he funny and I like his jokes. I can see why people would like him as a person than frmle. Maybe if this was the Franconia church forum but I don't know what I would write to someone who told me that me friend got what they deserved. This is not an isolated incident; there are at least a dozen posts in the past few months by FrmLE that indicate he's a certifiable wack job.(I am well aware of the history surrounding LE in Franconia and environs but thank you.)

To constantly harp on LE , as FM has done in the public view, and for you to reinforce the notion of their incompetence does little to nail down the facts of why she traveled toward NH/VT in the first place. That, to my admitted unprofessional assessment, is of greater importance than to trash LE, revisit their actions in hindsight, and suggest conspiracies. I will allow for the fact that they spent way too long on the family. They had a lead on a transient man who had been seen close by the neighborhood around the time of Jon Benets murder, He left town shortly after the Murder and has not been seen since. It does not matter how many resources You have to work with, You have to put them to use for them to work. Dr. Misdiagnosed: In 1995 I was diagnosed Crohn's disease. In 2000 I ended up at DHMC in Hanover NH to see a new Dr. and get another opinion as My health was worsening. My new Dr. Stated "You don't have Crohn's and You never did" I was amazed at this revelation. I tried to sue My original Dr. for malpractice but several lawyers stated " Because the Dr. diagnosed You with something but You don't actually have it means You do not have a case." So 5 years of My life was ruined because a Dr. screwed up and I paid the price. I am still affected by the medications to this day. I was still court ordered to pay all bills to this Dr. to a tune of $13,562.23. Luckily the hospitals wrote My bills of $43,153.74 off because of loss of income. But this is OK because these professionals are protected by law even though they are held to very high standards....Yeah Right. John

Bashing, in your opinion, is to disagree with your point of view; my ideas and opinions trigger the emotions surrounding your advocacy for Maura and her family. Most people, if not all, come to these forums with sympathy and concern for the disappeared MM, but even with the patience of a saint, the highly refined defense mechanisms in place and the well developed insults to posters have long ago set the tone for responses. And then you whine. Your role is a constant, then as now. A little less flip and flirty than before, perhaps, but ever a presence in the way I suggest above. It is possible she came upon a random stranger and became the victim of foul play. Tremendous gaps in information make this conversation difficult and conclusions unreliable. The PR campaign launched long ago has only been effective in frustrating the public.

This is just my opinion, but I'm fairly certain that most of what goes on here has very little to do with Maura or concern for Maura at this point. There is a lot of petty drama here, and conspiracy theories, and conspiracy theories about the conspiracy theories, and conspiracy theories over who is who and who posts here under which multimonikers and why. To me, it's all craziness, so I normally try to just ignore it. From the best I can tell, all of the above has to do with things that happened between some of these people years ago... and has nothing to do with you or me or any of the few objective people here today who actually do care about the case. And yes, many of these people have told me they've met each other, and talk to each other off the boards, and therefore have had plenty of opportunity to verify things in private without causing a public scene on a forum. Columbo has proven to me privately, to my satisfaction, that he is who he says he is. That doesn't mean I always agree with him or take everything he says at face value without seeing some proof to back up what he is saying. This is nothing personal against Columbo, just the way I operate in life; I verify information before I consider it to be a fact. I also do not expect anyone to take my word on Columbo being who he says he is. I suggest people verify info for themselves, as that is what any rational thinking person would do IMHO. Based on FrmLE's posts, I believe him to be who he says he is also. However, he has offered no proof, so I don't really know this for a fact. It is just my opinion. What I think is the real shame in all of this, is that all of this nonsense ultimately makes people not give a crap anymore. People with useful information about the local area etc leave the board, because they just can't take this drama anymore. It also turns off new people who might have something intelligent to add to the conversation. A few people I respected have already left for this reason, and I have not been here very long.

John And our dear friend just passed last week after they missed colon cancer for years, and were treating him for kidney disease which he did not have. Hang on tight, we're all at the mercy of our health "care" system. This brings up the theme that many have launched from here. It is "blame". Who is to "blame" in the McKay/Kenney dispute? Who is to "blame" for Patric's death? Who is to "blame" for MM's disappearance? And then the emotions fly. Along with our rights and freedoms come choices and responsibilities. To whatever extent that we engage in making choices every day of our lives, that is our only viable control mechanism. Otherwise, we have no guarantee that we won't fall victim to outside influences, both positive and negative. And if we do suffer loss, to whom the blame is assigned becomes a matter of legal and moral determinations. Do cops lie? Do lawyers lie? Do doctors lie? Absolutely. And it's good to distance oneself from any of them upon first smell. Perhaps you know much more than I do, but I cannot agree that LE is to blame for not immediately recovering MM. Her disappearance includes an entire history that precedes it, some of which may or may not be very significant. I won't go off on my union rant just now....about how LEO pensions are calculated and protected. It's become a good gig for anyone who qualifies.

I wonder why if he was cleared he wouldn't say that he was cleared by LE because they checked his alibi. Frmle is always bashing about people not knowing the facts but he makes the statement to clear Fred based off of opinion only. I find that very interesting and would like that cleared up if possible.

John Is this part of the code you speak but can't make any definitive statements because of contract. Since renner is on record for stating that family didn't sit down formally with LE until years after, are we to imply that they played a part in her disappearance for waiting so long.. Wouldn't they want to clear this up quickly so LE can look into finding the "real killer". I'm confused but is this a code for something? I never thought of it this way. You being a professional and former LE I'm sure you would have told them to sit and tell LE everything immediately to prevent this problem. So logically I'm going to think your telling me something in a code. I think I'm reading you correctly, but personally I don't see enough for family to be involved. Unless you know more.

It sucks when you have to enter a room and first check where the bathroom is, or sit in an aile in the movies so you don't have to walk across the whole row to leave.
