Bill It is clear, they took her report seriously and possibly to hold onto their information from RO, they obviously pursued red trucks. IMHO, once lines were drawn between family and le, they both closed ranks, so to speak.

Frostman wrote: <quoted text> So much for warm and fuzzy. If you get off your keister and do your research you'll find out that a certain poster claimed to have seen the accident site the day after and asserted he/she had knowledge about the forensic results of the duct tape/cloths (Matthew) and other details concerning this disappearance. That poster offered to meet with a couple of other contributors here but then retracted that offer after a heated discussion about egg-rolls. JWB's question was clearly NOT a clandestine attempt to find out where someone resided. By all means go back to reading, it's probably more productive than you staying here and behaving like an ignorant lul. Well I've done what you told me to do and got off my keister and researched these posts further. And guess what I found. Pages of jwb harrassing a poster wowzer the real one. It's very evident jwb was trying to find out which house this poster lived in. Don't believe me, take a look yourself. I bet you've already saw these posts though. On pages 854-860 #17353 #17354 he says he already asked 6 times #17370 #17430 #17447 #17466 #17463 #17451 #17470 #17366... No one should ever give out personal information on a public forum and anyone that keeps asking for it is either up to no good or they are a complete moron.) Even after wowser made this statement jwb contunued to ask what she/he saw from their window over and over again. There is no doubt in my mind that this is either or all cyber stalking, harrassment of this poster or trying to scare him/her into leaving the forum. Looks like they left the forum and with good reason. If this wowser is a woman I would be very afraid if I was her. I hope she has let someone know about this. Frostman if you think theres nothing wrong with this behavour then you are no better than jwb. There, now I don't feel like such an ignorant lul.(whatever the hell that is)

Considering that absolutely no sign was found of her entering the woods at the accident site or adjacent area and that the police and Butch Atwood searched the west side virtually just two possible scenarios exist
A. She got a ride or was abducted 100 yards east of her accident when the search dog lost her scent
or
B. She headed east on 112
Really the only two tips that are even viable in my mind are Rick Forcier's sighting or the Red Truck. It is possible that neither are credible but with the given information these are the only tips that can be worked off of until new evidence comes forward. Until then this case will be a mystery.

Thus far it's the only useful thing I have learned on Topix.

Even in the best of searches evidence can be missed. You can only PROVE that passage OCCURRED when you find such evidence. When you find no evidence you can never be absolutely sure if the person didn't go through or you just missed the evidence. Bill

anonymousone wrote: <quoted text> I was in an accident once where I had been drinking when I was 22 years old. I was uninjured but my first thought was how to avoid a DWI. I had not been drinking heavily but I was very likely over .08 BAC. My first two thoughts were to either wait in the woods or to start walking to the next town which was several miles away and use a payphone to call the police. This would allow my self enough time to sober up and that is exactly what I did. The reason why I think she started East is that is where the dogs scent trail went to and also coincidentally this is the only direction the police and Butch Atwood DID NOT search upon arrival in the minutes after. The probability is low she got picked up by the 5 or 6 cars in those 6-8 minutes she was alone. If she was running east on 112 then it greatly increased the time she could have been picked up by a potential abductor and a innocent passerby who gave her a ride somewhere else and was abducted later. I think that she was abducted further down the road though. The accident scene was given all the focus which made sense at first but I do not feel she was picked up there. In addition no witness said that a vehicle stopped at the scene other then the police cruiser and Butch Atwood so they were watching on and off and saw nothing unusual right there. I do agree that it is much more likely she was abducted if she made it that far down the road, than to be abducted at the crash site in plain view of houses with people looking out their windows. I think someone would have seen or heard something, if it happened so close to the houses near her vehicle. I still think hypothermia would be equally, or even more likely, probability wise, if she made it five or more miles. But who knows... I am open to almost any theory. Except UFO or the Maura look-a-like. That one just cracks me up. LOL.

The police should do a sting where they have young looking attractive female officers pretend they broke down or got in an accident and start walking. This could lead to another attempted abduction and catch the bad guy.
