citigirl wrote: <quoted text>I do recall once we had to call AAA because my sister had locked her keys in the vehicle. This was right over the border of NH and AAA gave a time frame and said the person responding to the call would be coming from St. Johnsbury. The time frame had passed so my sister called again and they had not even had any info concerning the original call.My sister had to give them all the info over again and the person that responded was from Littleton. Thank you Citi, I couldn't find any local, contractually committed Triple A operators on any of my searches. The reason for my pondering is because the AAA card was apparently left in the Saturn. If you were going to walk down the road with the intent on securing a cell signal to call for a tow then you'd need to have your card in hand in order to recite the membership # for the AAA operator. Given the short time frame in which Maura disappeared I'm trying to conjure up a realistic scenario -- a plausible conversation if a second motorist (aka perpetrator) had stopped and offered “help”. If Maura was at that time outside the Saturn and someone offered assistance (or a lift) she might have again replied that she had or was planning to contact AAA. Maybe a local (or somebody who was locally knowledgeable), who was aware that the nearest AAA affiliate was in St. Johnsbury or Littleton, might have been able to convince her to go with him to pick up his tow truck. If she was indeed shivering from the cold it might have seemed like a possible solution. I am, however, 100% convinced that Maura wouldn't have gotten into a vehicle with just anyone. But if someone said, hop in... my wife, mother-in-law, wee granny has a tow truck and we'll have you back here in a jiffy... perhaps, at the time, that might have seemed to be an agreeable option. And if you're stuck deep in the North Country on a winter’s eve and a charmer with MA plates haps along with a seemingly safe and viable local option, you might succumb and get into his vehicle. ]

It was that car that picked her up, further up the road from her vehicle as she locked and left her car at the scene of the accident. The perpetrator initially saw her when he had someone else in the car ( I feel there is someone out there that knows something, they didn’t see anything, but they did see Maura walking up the road while in this man’s vehicle). The offender dropped this person off and then came back for Maura. I think there is an issue with the time line, because I have read that there was only two minutes that passed between the time she was last seen to the time the police arrived. I think it was a little longer. It was a man with a knife, she didn’t want to go, but this man presented himself as a person of authority told her forcefully in a friendly manner to get in the car as it was very cold outside. The man was trying to manipulate her into going with him and she did not trust him but went anyway. Maura was very apprehensive of his motives. When he kept driving past help into a different area, she knew she made the wrong choice. She ripped into this person verbally when she knew what was happening…He invoked force and started looking at her sexually, taunting her in a perverted way. She was stabbed in the chest multiple times and he bound her as well…. She is deceased. She is still there, in the location where he took her to. It is outside the area where the car was left, but not too far away. I feel within 25 miles. Maura’s body is hidden and was dropped off from a tall height. After she was stabbed, she was raped… Her remains are in and around a body of water, like a lake… The location where she can be found is a familiar place to locals, where people go… They need to look in the water. It looks like a safe place. There is a path with an arc, inside an area… like a state park or gated park. Money is an issue as well with this case. Money needs to be spent to solve this case, and unfortunately, I don’t believe that this case will be solved. It has been too long and the trail is too cold, or at least it seems… Why did he do it? Opportunity, she was alone and pretty. I also get that he wanted to assume control over her since he views women as objects, something to use and then throw away. He does not have a positive opinion of women as he had a bad experience and usually is rejected by them. I really hope they solve this case… She was a beautiful person."

Very interesting post psychic sez, that sounds like a realistic scenario & in all likelihood that's exactly what happened, maybe a few details different. I know many people on here r on denial as to whether something like this could happen but it clearly can, it happens every day. The chances of a murderer coming along mean absolutely nothin, if one did. That's like saying no one wins the lottery bc the chances r so low, but they do. The fact is that a girl has much better odds Of being abducted then winning the lotto. This would b a crime of opportunity, & unfortunately there's a lot of weirdos out there, like Allan prue, who have weird things against beautiful girls. They never talked to him, never gave him attention so they hate them. Many of these guys won't just brazenly abduct someone in daylight, but If they come across a girl in distress at night in the winter, they might take advantage of the situation. The fact is for the wrong person, seein Maura on the side of the road like that might've been a once in a lifetime opportunity for them & they exploited the situation. Also it's extremely hard for LE to catch a perp who has no connections to the victim, sometimes even impossible. To say this couldn't have happened is to keep your head in the sand. What r the chances? Well what r the chances of being struck my lightning? What r the chances of winning the lotto? Going by the sheer # of women abducted in this country I'd say there a lot better then those 2 things.

Have u seen the video posted by the 112dirtbag called : bodies of water? Interestingly enough the whole time he is looking at the underside of A bridge which is a clear arch. Who is the 112dirtbag? Is it really beagle? Who is the other guy in the video dressed as a construction worker? Is beagle really such a cold hearted psycho to post videos like this or is it really the killer doing it? LE would NEVER, ever ever admit if a killer was using YouTube to taunt a family, it Would b an international media shitstorm. They had written it off as a cruel hoax by day one, which is literally impossible, so that means they were lying when they said it. Who's to say there not still lying?

Good question Laurie, is this guy a local or someone travelling through. But I guess we can infer that he believes he was a local bc he was dropping someone off very close to the accident scene. I beleive what he said about someone up there seeing her on the side of the rd and not talking about it is absolutely true, whether the rest is or Not. The sbd saw several cars pass, for some reason he couldn't identify them even though when weeper ran a test it was super easy to identify cars passing at that time of nite. Somebody up there knows what happened, but i guess at this point it's gonna take a miracle to get them to talk about it. I feel that it's gonna take someone getting arrested for something completely different to get a resolution to this case. Someone who knows something getting arrested for drugs or something like that, & spilling the beans on a friend to get himself out of jail

The person in the abduction theory could be driving through just as randomly as Maura was. Some of these people drive the roads on the hunt for anybody (men, children, ie ). Some dream of what they'd do for years and some just think about it enough that when a chance arises, they might follow through. Like the guy here a few years back who shot a teenager in the head. The teenager was wearing an ornge knit cap for deer season. They found out the motive was this simple, the killer wanted to see what it would be like to kill a person for a change. I know the red truck seems to be overwritten by some accounts. So I dread the thought of it now. It had MA plates. It was in the area. It sloweed down to ID a person walking in the dark. And by this time, might Maura have been expected to be on foot? The PI's have said there were two accidents. Please dear Lord, if it's just a theory, PLEASE don't state it as fact. It could actually hamper things in the long run. Anne hears of a female sliding off the road in the same area as the weathered barn,( close enough ), a little after 7. It only stood out because of her friend with no winter driving skills who had just moved to THAT area. RO was walking to the store about that time. Now we could or may assume that these people, but maybe just one....from the red truck, were up to no good. Maybe there was a full moon and they continplated grabbing RO...... nah....... My point is I don't believe it was any local who "took" Maura. I believe if the theory of abduction occurred, Maura could still be alive.

Remember that guy who took one of his students? He had her living in his bedroom in the house he shared with his mother. She had no idea that for 13 some years, this person was living in fear so much so that she never tried to run or cry out when he went to work. Maybe it was a janitor, it's becoming more clear to me as I type. Anyhow, one day the girl who was now a woman went outside on her own. She was picked up wandering aimlessly and reunited with her family. But she was also messed up, scarred for life, and who knows what she goes though to this day. If Maura were to be taken I might expect that unless there was a rush to inflict harm, she was clever enough to think of someway to stay alive with this sicko. I would think Maura would comply and leave the fighting part, the escape part for the absolute end. The point in time that she might try to escape being held captive. Maybe that day hasn't come yet. I don't know.

I thinks it's blatantly obvious to anyone with even a partly open mind that the red truck is involved in this. I don't c how anyone could possibly think otherwise, & nobodies ever even cam close to giving me a legitimate reason to think otherwise. The last time I brought it up bill actuallyentiomed Bigfoot. Well was a Bigfoot spotted in the area looking for someone at the time? I don't think so, but a red truck w mass plates most certainly was. IMO u either have to write RO off as a liar, or u have to consider the red truck. When u combine her sighting w the other witness who saw the truck on the side of bhr it gets even harder to write off

When u combine her sighting w the other witness who saw the truck on the side of bhr it gets even harder to write off I agree and all police would have to do is ask Winnie, the shopkeeper to whom RO asked: did the driver in the red truck come in here? Or maybe it was did you see the red truck lingering around this store, Winnie? And Winnie would reply with a Yes ( IMHO ) So here we go. A red truck is slowing to observe someone on foot a bit past 7. THEN: A bit past 8, a cruiser is slowing to observe a person on foot. Herein lies the ticket. Maybe. Two accidents? A wait and see how far she makes it thing? Chit chat on the side of some little store with some guy(s) helping Maura to troubleshoot her car problems? Maura had enough food in the car,......might that purchase have been made at white river junction or NH in general. No ones ever mentioned when the food was bought, or where. I know the rag was Maura's and from her kit so bear with me. The guy grabs ahold of it, puts it up high in the exhaust. Tells her to keep a back window down just a crack, and the car will go a little further for her. He offers to tag along behind her. She begins to worry about this guy and before she can do anything, the car stalls just before the sharp curve and the car wipes out. Maura doesn't want to get too close to anyone after having the alcohol spill, so she declines help. She begins to walk away. The truck is ahead of her as she turn to hide a ways down that road, it's too late, she's in the net. In the brush or the bushes. So much of this came out later, and the police sure do have their hands full.

I mean within 25 miles, near a body of water and an arc in the path. And surprisingly she was stabbed multiple times in the chest and she died. What a load of pure, high quality, unadulterated bullshit. What is even more hysterical is that there are people who believe this crap. Uhhhh, she is somewhere less than 100 miles away, but near some railroad tracks and there is a river nearby, but not real close by, and there are trees near a path. But don't go to far in on the path, because there are bees nearby.... Bill
