I detect some personal resentment and attitude toward cops, in general. Perhaps some direct experience on the other end of the baton. He's-a-gonna bust up "The good 'ol boy network" ....force a change, he says. Shack is also a cop hater, for whatever reason. It's evident over the years, and she makes no effort to cover it up in recent, barely intelligible posts. So, now, it's a good thing I can remain focused and committed enough to plow through his important posts. I don't want to miss any stray thought or spark of brilliance. Another day in the life of.....The Jenkins. This bother's me like nothing else. When people are critical of a particular law enforcement agent and they are labeled a "cop-hater" It is akin to Fox News reporting. You advocate for a better health care system and all of a sudden you are a socialist.

Now that I think about it, the Fox News analogy is good one for this whole thread. A whole bunch of feigned outrage all over this joint. Speculate on the locals or the cops in the area and all of a sudden the sky is falling. It is really bizarre to read all of this. Maybe people are just uber sensitive over there in the east and I just cannot relate. <shrug>

Jenkins' vitriol seems to come from direct experience. Jenkins outlined and then detailed some stereotypes as his truth, when, in fact, individuals, not stereotypes, are employed as cops; some more educated than others, some stricter in their interpretation of performing their duties and the law, and some slackers. I am missing your analogy to FOX and socialism, as I don't think it's an overstatement to conclude Jenkins and Shack have issues with cops....and are likely cop-haters by their own words.

The difference is in the damage she inflicts directly by her harmful speculation.

From what I have read of Jenkin's post, he has great disdain for McKay. So wouldn't that make him a McKay hater and not a cop hater? That is why the socialism analogy was made. A particular belief is being greatly magnified and transformed into a assumed dogma. The analogy is both simple and correct so I am not sure what is to be missed. Criticism of cops is a good thing. They have a lot of power, more than most, and that needs to be held in check. That is not a derogatory comment towards cops, it is a comment regarding human nature in general and how power can corrupt as evidenced by .. well, by the history of the world.

He elaborated well beyond McKay. I've had the stomach to read through his extensive, repetitive and unnecessarily long posts. I'm sure he'd invite you to reread them. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and their own expressions of ignorance. C'est la vie.

Even if he despised McKay, said the local cops botched the entire Maura case, and lambasted 6 other cops, would that make him a cop hater? Perhaps he made comments regarding his hatred towards police in general and I missed them. If that is the case, I am wrong. So feel free to show me those comments. Until you do I am going to have to conclude that you are blowing this way out of proportion. Just like Fox News does every 2 minutes regarding one thing or another. ;)

It is my opinion that he and Shack are cop haters.

JWB, Snowy and I have lots in common and occasionally like to chit chat. I have stayed quiet because of the mean guy Bill and is this retired police man Bill?. Please don't upset Snowy ok? I like you JWB and just want us to all to get along and talk about Maura. I haven't seen to much conversation about Maura lately so I have been doing more outdoor gardening than posting.
