Let me add a few more:

10) Why was there a rag from her trunk stuffed in her tailpipe?

11) Why was most of her alcohol ( Bailey's Kahlua, and Vodka) gone from the car?

12) Why did she lock her car if she didn't intend to return as some would speculate?

13) It was very cold that night in fact for a couple of weeks with sub-zero temps, she could not have gone far on foot.

14) Many accident reconstructionists have said that there is no way that the damage to the front of Maura's car was caused by either the snow bank or any of the trees there.

15) Was that really Maura that the SBD saw, he told his relatives the pictures on the news was not the person he saw, but later told police that it was her?

16) Did the SBD leave for Florida shortly after because his name was being bantered about as a possible suspect, or was he threatened?

There are many questions and no answers, we can only assume what MM was thinking, planning, or doing. There have been several suspects through the years some by the police, some through the media, and some in forums like this by outsiders looking in. But only one has been named by the locals to this date, and like I said only one refused to cooperate. He lived in the area, his friends lived in that A-frame house that has been talked about, and his fathers business is not far from the accident scene either. Also keep in mind MM went to West Point, this person was and is in the NG for NH and has done time in Iraq. Would it not make sense for her to trust someone from the military rather than the SBD? Could it have been a chance encounter of the two that just went wrong? These questions may never be answered, and the locals may be pointing the finger at him because they dislike him and his family. This I do not know, all I know is what I have been told, and that is what I put here.

I recommend that if anyone else can do so try to go to Woodsville and look around, go down 112, it's a terrible twisty bumpy road, that is a very bad curve that she came around before she went off the road. But, there are several like that along the way. If it was my daughter I would sure appreciate the help and if it was tour daughter or a loved one you'd want as much help as you can get. whether it be coming the woods there or going around and striking up random conversations with locals and see where you get.

The police chief in Haverhill, N.H., is facing a drunk driving charge after allegedly leading one of his own officers on a chase.

Chief Jeffery Williams is charged with disobeying a police officer and DWI. According to state police, Williams failed to pull over when a Haverhill officer attempted to stop him for speeding. After trying to get away, he eventually pulled over in Woodsville and was arrested.

Along with the criminal charges, town officials are considering administrative action against Chief Williams. That will have to wait though because Williams is still on leave recovering from injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash.

This will always be news until she is found and the perpetrator is caught. Life goes on? Not for MM now does it? If you're referring to the potential killer in this case as paying his dues, you couldn't be further from the truth. Paying his dues would be going through due process and being prosecuted to fullest extent of the law.

you are coming from a place of emotion, not reason, and projecting your own circumstances onto another situation.
it may be true that law enforcement is less capable or less willing than families would hope for, and sometimes corrupt, but this has not been proven in the MM circumstance...just surmised from angry, frustrated onlookers.
she was/is no different than any 21 year old, with an expectation that risks and consequences present themselves every day....and that we walk through life with some measure of uncertainty with the possibility that each breath could be our last.
that said, there is no new information in the public view to suggest a definitive conclusion about her whereabouts today.

I think what I am doing is looking at it as a father first and seeing the anguish that MM's father is going through and seemingly getting nowhere. It's frustrating for all, first for MM's family and for LE as well. I agree each day we awake we never know if it could be our last, and sometimes the decisions we make can lead to our own demise.

I don't understand WHY when I post from my blackberry it routes me to other countries, although it has kept my location in Bermuda before. It NEVER happens when I post from my computer.

Yeah, I have seen it happen to many on here. Just like when Dawn was insisting here proxy said one location and it was actually showing up as St. Paul,MN. Even after I told her that she still insisted it wasn't and I was looking at it with my own eyes. Guess what nobody said jack to her.
