Hi there,
This info came from Maura's sister along with some other things. She was speaking to these people in person and it was printed for the MM and MMM website viewers to see.
Whatever the newspaper people did, is another story, I'd have to agree.
I guess it doesn't matter too much though, except to say that stories did change from time to time

I also don't believe that he "saw" the actual crash. He saw the aftermath. We still call that a crash. Verb and noun. There are many conspiracy theorists (not referring to you specifically) that look for micrometer differences in verbiage. Most of this is bad interpretation in my mind. And trying to mine for that "big break" in the case because of the lie that someone has told. It ain't there.

I should also state I believe that mcsmoms interpretation isn't maliciously incorrect. I can see how someone could interpret it that way. I just don't think that was what he was saying. The newspaper might have also interpreted it that way.

So the incorrect interpretation of the word "saw the crash" is reenforced in the incorrect usage. Just my opinion.

Thank you e. Yesterday I thought maybe he might have witnessed Mauras car in reverse going from the westbound lane to the eastbound lane and to him he was witnessing a crash unfolding.

Too bad he didn't see the crash as it happened. If he witnessed the crash happening then that would disprove the theories of the car damage by a trailer hitch or staging the accident by dropping the car there.

That's a great idea. With the corruption running rampant I am sure that the greasing of a few palms and we could run bus tours right out of the police station using their paddy wagon. Daily on the hour, and on the ninth of every month we can stage a simulation with some of the local police playing the part of CS, complete with Maura look-a-likes, some running into the woods, some getting in cars to party and others running like the wind, some down the road and others into the woods. I don't know though. After the three people that keep perpetuating the conspiracy myth go on the tour, what will we do then? Of course, some of them do have staying power, maybe they would keep coming back, again, and again, and again.... Some of them do love the windmill.

This may be that million dollar idea everyone talks about. OK jldross, I'll split the cost and reward on this little venture. Your on.

I have said it before but it bears repeaing as many times as needed, if you use a news article for a factual reference, you might as well make your own facts up. Which I know alot of you do anyway.
Nothing printed by any of the local rags can be relied upon as definitive or factual. I moast cases they get about 60% of the facts right on a good day. The people writing these articles are not hardened journalists with fact checkers and experienced editors, they are mostly amateurs, a stay at home mom with a little side job or some college kid working on his Masters.
