Somewhere down the line it became out of control and personal. In a forum where opinions are being offered, even the opposite opinion adds to the forum threads. Now all we get is a couple of tumbleweed posters coming and going. There was a certain dynamic in watching both ends of the spectrum work. With different theories there was a certain type of harmony.
As just an observer you did get to learn interesting things, sometimes not related to the case. Atleast there would be stuff to read in the morning. Now we don't have much. Frostman is gone for the summer, Jenkins stopped posting the three people you mentioned plus Wowzer and Amy have moved on. That is seven decent contributors.
I'm not faulting anyone about why posters are leaving. There was a lot of passion in the arguments of both sides, but I do think the readers lost something by these people leaving.
