Maybe to a private forum. I'll go out on a limb here and try to answer. I post rarely now and if you notice some of the posters that actually make sense have also left or only post once in awhile now.I'm still here reading but don't find it in my best interest to reply only to have to defend that reply and argue with another poster about it.
I think some just got tired of jwb's BS of harassing the posters with threats and snide remarks when he didn't like something they said. Read back yourself and see the crap that a few posters have dealt with from him.
Below is just one small example of a newer poster(grampamo) that no longer posts here most likely becuase of being accused of being someone else and BS thrown at them by JWB.
No one should have to put up with that just to post on an internet forum.

Jwb this is all a big game to you. A power game of trying to control the forum. Hate to disappoint you but I'm not WTH,snowy, wowzer or anyone else.
I don't have time to be here all the time like you so I check the forum when I'm able to.
And When it comes to a missing person I do not play games so game off jwb because I refuse to play.
Unfortunate. If you look at my first post on this thread, I was blown away by exactly what you are talking about and made strong comments about just that type of behavior. Incidentally, Grampamo came down on me pretty harshly for my comments. I have read way back into these threads now and it seems there is always someone trying to control opinions and take over the thread. What is interesting to me, and I wonder if those of you who have been here so long understand, is that I just discovered this case. It hit me like a ton of bricks as I am a father and I couldn't even imagine the kind of agony I would be in if this was one of my children. You folks have been discussing this for eight years now. It's brand new to me, like it just happened. I came to this forum fresh from learning about it and was blown away at how people are acting here. Seems many are totally so far removed from the empathy that originally brought them here. So much discussion and so few facts. The tires have been kicked clean off of the truck, so to speak so now everyone is just kicking each other. My oldest son has some behavioral issues. Sometimes he has trouble moderating. We came up with a simple way to help him not get into trouble for every infraction. As soon as he realizes he has gone to far, He says "Reset" and he stops for a minute to collect himself and tries again...This is one beautiful child by the way, he's only eleven and this was his idea! I wonder if any of these " grown ups" could try to moderate themselves this way?

But with all these posts you are bringing up I fail to see where anyone threatened to bring other posters real identities into the forum like you did and I must say I was dismayed to hear that someone was phoning around and asking for wowzer. Only a low life slug would do something like that. There are several posts on this forum where you are asking wowzer if he/she saw the accident from their window and which house did they live in.You asked over and over and over again.Dam scary!
JMHO but I think you are a dangerous person. For a grown man it's odd that you get so upset and go to such lengths over a missing woman that you never knew.
Play your games jwb. Keep up the entertainment because it's obvious that's all this forum is good for anymore. You've certainly given me a chuckle or two with your shenanigans.
Glad I make you happy

I couldn't agree more with your post. I have tried to hit the so called reset button and get the conversation to Maura where it should be over and over. A simple question was asked today " Where is everyone" and linconite tosses out a bunch of crap to instigate.

I have proposed a truce more than once and both times got slammed and harrassed. A truce is not entertaining to those that are not interested in Mauras case.

Wowzer, has said (on this forum) that she lived in the area of the crash scene so I asked if she saw the accident from her house (wow) very scarey .

Also- What idiot would make phone calls asking for a Wowzer? That is the biggest fabrication yet on this forum. Fabrication just to keep the entertainment flowing for you.

Someone commented on Steinbeck's The Grapes Of Wrath. Said the end was anticlimactic. This was an extremely complex story concerning an intense struggle during an amazing part of American history. It was written in the vernacular. Written in a language that could be understood by any and most fifth grade students. Intentionally so. The depth of the story is what makes it an American classic. In my humble opinion, to explain something so deep,in such a simple way is the definition of brilliance.
Hemingway wrote under what he called the Ice Burgh Principle. The words should be pared down to the absolute minimum. The words were the tip of the ice burgh, what you could see. The story was the submerged part of the ice burgh, the massive part that you couldn't see. Again, in my humble opinion, brilliant.
Sales people learn The KISS principle very early in there careers....Keep It Simple Stupid....
Sometimes, the more we invest in gaining knowledge, the more we want to show our knowledge off and the more we become defensive of that knowledge.
Truly Brilliant people are addicted to learning and recognize that something can be learned from everyone and every situation. Unfortunately, I, like many people here am not truly Brilliant, but I practice one principle that they use....KISS...
I Think there are so many theories and opinions and crap here that the water has become to murky too see. Why don't you all agree to a complete flush, clear up the water so you can see and start from a " Simple Well Lighted Place" ( EMH)?

I don't know.Maybe it was the same idiot that denied trying to find posters identities by the phone but admitted that they were only using the computer to try to find that information.. There was only one poster that I saw that was trying their best to find out where wowzer lived. Well I wonder who that could be.If I missed someone elses post that was trying to out wowzer let me know cause I must have missed it.
I don't believe anything was fabricated. It sounded like wowzer was worried about their safety and reported it to someone, probably LE but that's just a guess. If it was me that's who I would have reported it too if I was worried.
Enough about wowzer it's time to get a cold one and put my feet up and watch the show. Carry on jwb. I could use a chuckle tonight.

I have read alot in the last few weeks about this case. I would say however that I possess minimal knowledge. In keeping with my previous post about keeping it simple, and working with next to no knowledge,I'm constantly drawn back to fact that Maura was seeing two men. Engaged to one of them. This is such a classic situation that has ended violently thousands of times through out history. Am I correct in assuming that this has been thoroughly examined early on in this thread and I just can't find the pages?

You lost me:
Can you please explain to me how an "extremely complex story" can be written for a fifth grader to understand?
You then mention it was written in a vernacular which would make it even harder for any fifth grader to understand unless they understood the specific southern dialect that was used in the book.

The book never should have ended the way it did. He must have had writers block and just decided to end it there.

Introducing a new love interest in this story is your version of KISS. This complicates things.

If you really want to go by KISS = she crashed her car while consuming some alchol, didn't want to deal with police and took off running. After her bodied started to sweat and she became tired she stopped running, her body cooled off and she died somewhere in the mountains.

I do believe that this is a very likely scenario. The odds are very good that you are correct.
I read early on that she was involved with her track coach and Wondered hbow well this has been researched?

I first read this book in fifth grade as an assignment. This was in the seventies and I believe it was pretty standard reading for that age group, along with Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn by Mr. Samuel Clemens. Sam wrote in the same vernacular.
Steinbeck took the subject of the Industrial revolution, The Dustbowl, and The subsequent migration of the " Oakies" to the west coast and all of the political upheaval created by this and wrote a very simple story about a family making this migration. Writing in the language of the people involved or the vernacular gave me, as a child, an intimacy with the story and drew me in. Mind you I am no intellectual. It was a very easy to follow tale and was entertaining to a young mind yet it delivered a tremendous amount of history. It was much easier reading, written the way it was than our standard history books.
I have studied Steinbeck quite a bit and I know he is not everyones cup of tea. This was a tremendously politcal book at the time and the ending was intended.

I have and I have read his blogs on Amy and Lisa Pruett.
I'm very much on the fence concerning Renner. Remember how much my last blunder upset you? Well if you read his finding Amy's Killer blog, he has thrown names around like a mad man and has basically all but pronounced a death sentence on Dean Runkle.
Runkle may very well be the man. but, he hasn't been convicted and I have a very hard time accepting Renner's public destruction of him.
I do appreciate that he has brought alot of attention to these cases, but, I am on the fence.

I get you Tom I really do. I'm one of the locals that was bashed near to death over the course of 8 years by shack and her buddies. It's a very hurtful thing and to bash Maura like we were bashed will do no good. Why lower yourself to the same level as them which is lower than the underside of a worm IMO. I think we're better than that.
The lies and bashing started 8 years ago but no one twisted our arm to make us keep reading and replying to the forums.
Not the post I am still looking for but for now. Wowzer says she was one of the "Locals".

wow- I wonder where I got it from that Wowzer was a local to the crash?

That's not exactly accurate. Besides the SBD and CW I can think of only two other houses, one being sold due to sickness and death and one still for sale. Tha Lab in Swiftwater recently moved south. The owner told me personally that he and his wife couldn't handle another winter up here and were going where it was warmer.
Not counting the older residents that died. They live in a different less stressful area now.
Most everyone that lives on 112 has lived there a long time and are still there.
Wowzer puts herself in that area again- what a mystery. I have 6 more but won't bore everyone any longer. My point is is that Wowzer aka linconite has put this information on the forum and it doesn't take a brain surgeon to find it.

Enough of your over exaggerating already. maybe you should check with your adviser again if you are so scared or maybe you should just stop telling everyone where you live.

Hey Wowzer, can you see the rain coming down at your house? BOO

I've been reading some old info online, came across the stuff pasted below&find it eerily like the "nose to nose with cruiser" scenerio that a passerby to mauras accident reported&the unusual damage to her car.
"police car and another vehicle, "bumper to ass, guess would be the best way to put it."

The pair spotted the two cars on Route 116. "It's not like a normal stop, where you see a car pulled over and a cruiser behind it kicked off a little," ***** says. He says ***** police SUV was "pushing the guy up against the bulldozer, uh you know, with his car."

"***** is asked to draw a map of what he saw. He said he was curious about the position of the cars, and how the police cruiser had ****** car pushed up against a bulldozer so it couldn't move"
