Bill- yesterday I actually agreed with you on three posts in a row and gave you checks and life preservers. What has you so wound up today Bill? Try relaxing and pour yourself a nice stiff drink-stick a heating pad behind your neck-close your eyes and do deep breathing exersizes for a half hour or so (repeat drink if needed). Then go look at yourself in a full view mirror and say " I am WTH, I am good enough-I am smart enough and gosh darn it I am a miserable old fart.

I do, and I am naked in front of the mirror.

Thanks for the checks and preservers. And I believe I tossed you a few also. And Sophie even got some.

Brilliant. There's an irrefutable equation: 1)The hit and run took place LESS THAN A MILE from where Maura worked + 2) Maura had breaks on her job = the hit and run MUST have been Maura

As per the security monitor (maura's job title) handbook at UMASS
Shifts for security monitors are (and also were in 2004)
Sunday - Wed 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Thursday 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Fri - Sat 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Security monitors do get breaks each shift thursday through saturday. Maura was working the thursday night schedule when the vasi hit and run took place.
Vie phone recods, Maura called Rao's Coffee cafe at around 8:40 p.m. that thursday night. the call was three minutes long.
Maura attempted to call her boyfriend at both 9:09 p.m. and 9:55 p.m., but could not get a hold of him.
However, it appears he called her back one minute later at 9:56 p.m. and they talked for about six minutes.
Maura then talked to her older sister from 10:10 to 10:38 p.m.
And the only other two calls -- according to maura's cell records came later in the night.
From 12:07 a.m. to 12:14 a.m., maura was again talking to her boyfriend.
the hit and run victim petrit vasi was found at 12:20 a.m. laying in the snow.
Finally at 3:40 a.m., maura dialed dominos pizza and placed a order.(They closed at 4 a.m.)
I am not making any assumptions with this, just laying out the actual facts and leaving it open to debate.

Hey "couer de lion", could you maybe explain your whole schtick?
Idk, maybe i just don't have that highly intellectual sense of humor like you and FrmLE do. Or maybe I'm just missing something?

Are your posts meant to be funny or are you just trying to annoy people? If they are meant to be funny can you maybe explain what you think makes them funny? I seriously don't get it. What's funny about saying gummy shoe? What makes any of the things your saying funny? Are you strictly just trying to annoy people or what?

Maybe it's just me and I lack that keen sense for intellectual humor. Damn I wish I could understand smart jokes. LoL

Hey orko- I don't believe that it's possible at this point but do you think if somehow a link was proven between Maura and the bit and run that it would bring us any closer to determining her final fate?
While I believe that knowing why she really went to nh in the first place is important I don't believe that it's going to help us find her.
The thing is, IMO, that the accident at the WB curve was not planned; it was just that, an accident. I believe that the accident completely changed her plans and that she was unable to accomplish what she set out to do.
If she was smart enough to head up nh in order to stage another accident to cover up the hit and run wouldn't she also have been smart enough to do it in a place where there was no witnesses? She was less than a half a mile away from wilderness and miles of roads where there would be no witnesses. It makes no sense to crash the car where she did, If it was intentional. I also don't believ that she would intentionally crash her card hard enough to set off her air bags.
The vasi hit is definitely interesting to speculate on. While I still feel that she was not connected to it, it sure would explain a lot about her behavior.
I do agree that something happened that night, it appears that whatever happened Thursday night was the catalyst for the whole event, which culminated in her going missing on Monday the 9th.
Let's say hypothetically that she was connected; how does that bring us any closer to finding out what happened? Are you thinking the crash was intentional and she went into hiding? Are you thinking maybe it was someone else who did the hit and run in her car and that person may have killed her? I understand that the potential connection is very interesting but I don't think that proving a link would bring us any closer to finding ou Maura's fate.

I think there is more to it than just maura.

If maura was involved in the hit and run, then most certainly her father was aware of it (explains his rush trip to see his daughter that weekend).

I have personally never believed her accident in NH was staged by her, however, investigators that have worked the case have gone on record and said they don't believe the car damage was consistent with having happened from the accident in NH.

I personally have believed for a long time that maura took her own life.

I believe she planned to be in the white mountains.

I believe another note would've surfaced (if not for her second wreck) that she would've left for her family and friends.

I believe she wanted to stay the night somewhere and take her life the next day.

An involvment in the vasi hit and run IMO, only strengthens the suicide theory no matter how maura ended up handling her car and no matter how the second wreck caused her to have to improvise her plans.

I am getting tired of talking about the vasi angle.

I obviously don't have concrete proof of her involvement.

But I can pretty confidently say that a high acheiver such as maura that had two alcohol related wrecks in the span of 48 hours and seemed to have her life snow-balling out of control right in front of her, had just undergone something traumatic and it was not something like credit card fraud which happened months earlier and that she barely got into any trouble for, but something that happened in that odd five day stretch that began with her breakdown at work at 1 a.m.

When you phrase it like that it implies that you have SOME proof of her involvement, when you don't. This may be why some, especially me, are having trouble buying your story.

<quoted text>I try to answer questions from other posters with definite facts and not speculation.Sorry you are disappointed but I cannot answer whether or whether or not Maura had a flashlight in her vehicle. Its easy to say what you would do if it were your daughter. But remember your daughter is home safe and sound and has never been missing. Maura is not and has not been seen or heard from for over 8 years. Dont judge us for something you have never experienced. Our family is living the nightmare not you. Although we are not perfect we are trying to do our best for Maura.
We can also probably assume that there are some "facts" that you know that won't be shared with us.

It isn't easy to say what anyone would do if their daughter was missing, but that doesn't mean that it negates any arguments.

Thats like one of my friends who is my age and is having a child while trying to attend college. She has been really rude for the past couple months. She tells me that I can't say anyting about her being rude because "I have never been pregnant" Because I"m not pregnant I can't understand the logic that makes up a rude statement.

Because I have never had a daughter that went missing I can't understand the meaning behind "squawalk", or how a family says they don't know anything about PC's and don't turn it on for 100 days, or give it to the PIs working the case, but after a couple of months then sue to get it back. I'm not allowed to ask questions I just have to follow your lines of logic because I have never experienced a missing daughter.

This is the best example I've ever heard from anyone on all the forums. It's very honest and to the point and yet you show compassion and reason. I agree with you all the way.
My sister was missing too. We had an occasional phone call here and there, but in the end she is no longer with us. Makes me want to cry. If your post, your reasoning doesn't speak volumes to any and all who love or care about Maura, I don't know what does.
To the family, friends, PI's
Your way is not working.
You need a resolution.
Go ahead and blast me for saying that But you KNOW i care.
How many times have we heard that PI's don't sit down with police?
That it's a one way street?
They just forward, forward, to fast forward, unwind, rewind, wind so tight, no one knows anything? When are you going to snap, when will it come to you that you have had enough?! How does protecting Maura's good name bring her back? Unless you somehow know she is out there living a life that doesn't include you, WHY NOT take a stand?! HOW CAN YOU JUST KEEP YOURSELVES IN IDOL? Contact the newspapers, find all of her contacts, go back to the start. Find someone willing enough to share any and all findings with you BEFORE it goes to police.
I have to wonder (if our family would have been less passive, and mostly because of fear), if my sister could have been saved and sitting with us now. CITIGIRL I know your pain. It was a 12 year ordeal and FBI included, DISSASTER!. Everytime my sister made it into a hospital and came out alive, dammit, we should have swept her away with us and all went into hiding.
PROTEST! YOU HAVE A VOICE! THERE"S STRENGHTH IN NUMBERS!
Maura. I'm not yelling anymore. Please. Did you ever stop to think that she may be in with a bad group of people? Have you really stopped short of helping somehow by being protective of what gets said or what gets out? We're all human, we all make mistakes, but that's how we learn.
One little story here. Our neighbor girl was so lovely and could have had anyones hand. The wedding was any womans dream come true. I saw her come out of the pet groomers with her two children and chopped off hair, no make up, and bruises last year. When I go back to that place for bonfires, it's so sad to hear what has become of the once lively young woman I saw grow up. Sometimes the wrong people come into our lives, and she is not allowed to see her family. Reminds me of my sister. Maybe this is Maura too?
Lighthouse 101, you brought out the monster in me. Thank you. I've never really gotten that out until now. I understand now why I am so "personally" connected to Maura Murray and all those who NEED to have answers.
Sincerely....
