Weeper was Frank Kelly, another NHLI team member. But yes, that is my understanding, that they believed Maura met up with foul play after the first accident and that the WB curve accident was staged. At least that is how I interpreted the posts.(It doesn't make a lot of sense to me why someone would stage a second accident.) I have never spoken with anyone from NHLI, so I'm hoping someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Do you think Frank Kelly has gathered Evidence to support that theory? How would he come to that conclusion? If WB was staged,Who did SBD speak to at the scene?Did SBD make that part up?A look alike?

If someone with expertise in the autobody business can say that there was some damage sustained by MM's car before it even left Amherst, then doesn't that kind of call into question John M. Healy's notion that MM's car sustained damage a little west of and just before the accident at the WB curve?
Can the autobody expert confirm the EXACT damage to the car?

I don't know what evidence they have or how they came to the conclusion. They thought the person seen by SBD wasn't Maura but someone who looked like her. Why anyone would go to this trouble of staging an accident and having a lookalike hang around and tell the bus driver she called AAA, well that doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

On another subject, I think I accidentally came across an answer to a question you posted a while back:

Also from weeper:
"To clear up a misunderstanding we were all under for some time in reference to the cook Bronco type police vehicle, this unit was in fact H1 (for Haverhill unit #1) and was operated by Sgt. C. Smith on the evening of Feb. 9, 2004. So there is no “mystery Bronco” to speak of, no “rouge make-believe-police vehicle” involved in any of this situation. "

So its being implied there was damage to Mauras car before leaving Amherst..Theres an ATM video in Amherst that hasnt been released(who is on it?).A man possibly smoking at the WB scene. And suggestion that Wb was staged...Did Maura have someone with her at the ATM&in the car?Maybe a male friend that used her car&hit Vasi?
The whole top secret ATM video makes me think it holds some valuable evidence.

IMHO someone might use a look a like&stage the accident scene because they want Maura to "appear" to be a runaway(was she already dead?)..Exactly who is on the ATM Tape?
Amy,thanks for the LE#1 clarification...Which leads me to ask EXACTLY what time was LE#1 seen nose to nose with Mauras car...Every answer always leads to another question,LOL!!

If she was trying to avoid possible prosecution why didn't she just leave on Friday? Why would she be sitting around town with her dad, partying and going out to dinner, etc? That really makes no logical sense.
But ... it snowed enough on Friday that classes were cancelled, and this was Maura's first winter as a driver, so her experience driving in snow was minimal at best. Good reason not to leave on Friday if in fact she wanted to, whether in relation to Vasi or anything else. Then with her Dad coming in on Saturday, there through the weekend ... Monday was the first day that she actually *could* leave given the circumstances.

As I understand, the first public mention of the rag came on a board such as this (although it wasn't topix). Once out, police decided to no longer hide it and stories began mentioning it and talking about it.
.

Hi orko - the rag was mentioned in the Caledonian record iirc on 2/11/2004 or 2/14/2004. And also on our local radio station magic 97'.7. It was definitely public knowledge to locals after the crash.

I don't doubt that.

It doesn't change the fact that police informed the family about the rag on Feb 11, 2004 and made it clear to them that this info wasn't to be released to the public.

I believe the family made an attempt to keep the info out of the public, but it leaked and the family had to let police know it didn't leak from them.

It was common knowledge to the local area because 13 people responded to maura's car accident and their access to seeing the car.

CORRECTION:
Technically a total of 13 people responded to maura's accident scene in New Hampshire that fateful night.
2 responders from Woodsville Ambulance
8 total firemen
6 male firemen
2 female firemen
2 cops
1 Tow truck driver
And that is not counting the SBD and the other neighbors who had called 911 that night that did come out of their house and helped police with their search that night.
A lot of folks were out there that very first night.
You are incorrect concerning the fire department. I personally went there and have a list from the Woodsville fire department with the signatures of those whom responded to the scene that night.

Orko are you a family member? How could you possibly know the police made it clear to them that the info about the rag wasn't to be released unless you are family or LE. Are you?
The rag in the tail pipe has been in the paper, on internet forums and talked about outside. In all this time I've never heard that this bit of info was to be kept hush hush and not released to the public. It's always been mentioned openly so I don't know where you are getting your info from.

Wowzer Iam family and have never been told that the info concerning the rag in tailpipe cannot be released. It has been common knowledge early on concerning the disappearance of Maura.

that is odd.

Because I also have the list with names and phone numbers of both the two ambulance responders from that night and the eight firemen/women.

I don't have the names and numbers of the two police and tow truck driver that responded, but it is common knowledge who those three are by now to anyone following the case.

LE has never said to family what can and cannot be released concerning Mauras disappearance. There was no leak concerning the rag. This was common knowledge. So Im not sure where you are getting your info from.

Orko's quote from a "murray family source":
Orko Kringer wrote:
<quoted text>
"It is a *fact* that LE found a rag in the tailpipe of Maura's car.
It was one of the reasons given to the family on the evening of Wed 2/11/04 that LE believed that Maura was suicidal.
It was the Murray's understanding that LE did not want the info released. Therefore, they never made mention of it except to their pi's .
And, as I have already stated, to my knowledge, it was never reported in the media, which confirms that LE never officially released the information.
The information recently came out on Maura's website www.mauramurray.com because a poster who is a resident of the Haverhill area made mention of it."

You have stated 8 male fireman and 2 female fireman in your previous posting. But in this posting you are stating eight fireman/women. My paper work shows differently from what you are stating. Where did you get your info from?I also had the opportunity to talk with several whom responded to the scene that night whom gave me paper work confirming as to who responded to the scene.
