Do you know how many people were murdered in New Hampshire in 2004? 17 people.
Do you know any many deaths there related to drinking and driving? 59 deaths.
Out of those 17 cases - 3 of them were killed by one man.( He killed the sister and her two kids). Out of the other 14 cases (which isn't that difficult to investigate.) how many of those people would you say were a victim of opportunity or the victims knew their killers?

That's a good point Paris, somebody should go check with those couple witnesse renner spoke to and make sure that he is quoting them properly, see what they have to say about what renner said.
I think his description matches the damage to the car much better than smiths. The damage is to the front left corner; it looks like she smashed into the snowbank and that spun her around.
If she spun out after the curve her front left should have been the least likely to get smashed. Think about when you go around a lefthand curve and your rear ass end breaks loose. Your spinning around ass end going to the right. Front right would be most likely to hit, then rear right, then rear left, and then front right.
The damage to her car is pretty Head on to the front left. It looks like she hit the snowbank on the front left and that's what caused her to spin out. That damage makes no sense if she spun out after the curve.
Hey thanks, Jenkins. Here's something else now. Not sure if correct but maybe Wowzer or someone who takes those roads like you have, citi......
Wasn't there also a (possibly waist high pole), or rod there on the corner in 2004? If that was hidden behind all the snow that she "shaved off, i can blame that pole for the famous gash to the hood. JMOAS

No

you were way out of line with your recent comments to me. Your comments were way past being cool funny or amusing. Things get heated from time to time ,but my comments to FRMLE was in fun only and FRMLE and everyone else but you understood it. That was the worst comment I have seen posted since I joined in two years ago. I could have it deleted , but it is there to show what a classless poster you are.

I really don't know, I would assume probably all the victims knew their killers, except maybe one or two.
Most murder victims, around 90%+, I believe, know their attacker. That's just the way it is. Most murder victims know their murderer and generally know them well. This is why family and friends need to be eliminated first in any investigation.

What was the purpose of this question?
Do these #'s have anything to do with MM?

It's very possible that mm was the one victim who was killed by someone unknown to her in '04. It happens all the time, girls are killed by random people. It's fucked up but it's true, sad fact of life. Another sad fact is that these cases are by far the most difficult for LE to solve; which could very well be why this case here has never been solved

If it happens all the time how many of the 14 murders in NH the victim was killed by someone they didn't know?

Nearly every time this forum moves past some of Beagle's antics - it's brought back up.

Like now - some random poster popping in, throwing out a link to a 6 month old blog posting from Beagle - and POOF! We are back on that subject.

Luckily, we were spinning in the dirt anyway. So it is what it is.

A link to a blog was posted, and I thought it was well-written and funny so I replied. Sorry for interrupting the brilliant flow of discussion about how far is "way up" a tailpipe, how many people do or do not live in a vacant lot, who is or is not a pervert, what a deceased woman might or might not have said on a forum that no longer exists, IP tracing, how leisurely a cigarette was or was
not smoked, and who the heck Eric or Roo could possibly be. Wouldn't want to derail any of that. lol

Your theory posted here, and in many other previous posts, presents as FACT that she was "leisurely" doing things. I have never, not once, read anything on this case that said that she was "leisurely" doing anything, or even hinted at her lollygagging. Since this is your theory, and you use the "leisurely" part to prove a point, please provide an exact quote where this was said.
From Renner's blog:
"One thing that has been re-reported with little verification over the years is the story by Faith Westman, who lived in the house across the street from where Maura's car came to rest on Wild Ammonoosuc Rd., in which she says she saw a man in Maura's car smoking a cigarette. That's not exactly right, she told me last week.
'I heard a crash and then I went to the window. I saw the car. There was a red light in the car, which I thought might be the light from the end of a cigarette,' says Westman.'But I never saw a man and the red light could have been anything. Maybe a cell phone light as she was trying to find a signal to call someone.'
She saw the woman in the car get out and walk around the vehicle as she called the accident in to local authorities--crashes on that curve in the wintertime are not unusual in themselves and she has to do this at least once every season.
John Marrotte is an old, earnest fellow who lives in a house on the North side of the street. Since the trees were bare at the time, he was able to see the car--and the woman--from the window of his kitchen.
'I saw her get out and walk around the car. When I looked out again, the police were there. She was gone. I don't know what happened. Only man who knows is up there.' he points to the sky."

I've read this a million times now - the word "leisurely" is not in that statement, nor is it hinted at.

By the way, Citigirl, I've been wondering. You are very active in this forum and have been a great deal of the time since I started posting here in March or so. I'm really wondering what you get out of it? Do you expect to find some information posted here that will help this case? I just wondered, thanks.

I think she is referring to the corner of the Westman's property with their house. If you look at this photo, you can see the pole: http://i62.servimg.com/u/f62/12/82/75/73/maur... I don't know if they are for snow or what they are for, maybe they have reflectors on them. I looked on Google Maps on Street View, there are four of them on the Westman's property on the curve.

Follow Up to that question: why if you really think foul play would you post risking the chance (however small that it may be) that you may ruin the chance at a conviction?

The corner with the shaved off snow. The corner that would be in front of the W's. The corner to the far left of a driver as they are making that "hairpin turn when they are heading East on 112. The spot where the mechanic stated he had observed the whole snowbank was seared, or shaved off after Maura had her accident.

Going by pictures and blowing them up, I saw what looked like a "saftey" pole. I don't know what else to call it, BUT
Whitewash or someone else answered me that there may have been a "rod" like pole/ stop sign or just plain old pole to keep people back, or from getting onto the W's property on that corner.

What I saw in the pictures was bent way back, but in looking ahead at the picture to see the weathered barn, I recall seeing it on the right side....up on the corner.

I have court today, will try to go through pictures later if they don't lock me up. But you could maybe ask around to confirm such a thing was there in 2004. Even if it was down a ways, I had just pointed out that I could see something like that while examining the pictures.
