About hitting trees. If the Saturn was facing the W's and backed in to the earea of trees, maybe that's to explain the rear end.

Sticky keys here.
What I mean is if the saturn was backed into an area of trees and damge was found on the back side of the car, maybe that was the explanation for that damage, and that alone.

My old 96 plastic Saturn got whacked in the Winter up in the Haverhill area. It didn't bounce back. It cracked the plastic.

AND, what's up with this "leisure" coined by Renner..?
What difference...? Perhaps it could be "unhurried".

Geez....what happened to Maura..?

Wowzer- you guys are ridiculous.
I will dig up the post, again, when I habe an extra few minutes to dig through old articles.

But are you Completely just ignoring everything else? Why would you do that?
Even without the word leisurely there's more than enough to show that she didn't seem particularly worried about police.

This is a classic tactic used by you guys, ignore all this stuff and focus on one word, as if that one word makes or breaks the whole thing. Your clearly trying to big down TW conversation by making it about inconsequential little details that don't really matter.

She said leisurely but that doesn't even really matter, what Maura did or didn't do at eh car is what matters here.

One thing is absolutely clear, she didn't just grab her backpack and leave. She could've done that in under 30 seconds and she clearly did not do that.

If someone is so scared of police that they're about to walk miles into the woods to their death would you not expect them to leave the scene ASAP.

Who sits there with their door open for a few minutes when they're trying to elude LE?

Why are you ignoring everything and focusing on one word?

If I dig up the quote your going to change your opinion correct?

When I find the quote and post it, again, then your going to agree that she wasn't likely trying to avoid LE? I seriously doubt it

Again, maybe that's not a big deal in and of itself. The trees withstood the impact. The report seemed generic, and maybe for a reason.

Orko- this is a quote from an early article entitled "Seeking outside help"; I'm not sure of what paper it was from though:
"Rausch said family members were told by at least one person living near the accident site a man was seen in Maura's car after the accident."
I think we can safely assume it was FW who told the family that right?
Jenky,

I have seen this excerpt as well.

But to be honest, there is way too much he said she said to take this particular excerpt as fact. Now if sharon rausch said FW herself had told her that she was certain a man was at maura's car that would be a different story.

Honestly that excerpt above looks like lazy journalism to me.

Hi Shack!
The back side of her car is cracked and that could be from whiping around only to land close to trees. The snow stood in the way as she first came to rest. But then as you and I know, she moved the car from that spot causing people to think it was still the place to look for the last signs of Maura leaving her car and so on.

I've never said she was trying to elude the police. You are simply evading and misdirecting, which you do all the time.
Again, where is the quote?"
Umm, when did I ever say you said that ruthless rye? Are you maruchan??

Blah blah blah??? Those are the witness statements, that is what Maura did after the sbd left her car.
I'm not evading or misdirecting, I'm analyzing witness statements that seem to indicate she wasn't that worried about LE. She could've been out of there in under 30 seconds flat, but she wasn't. She sat there and tried to get a cell signal and then got her things together. She didn't just run from The scene.

I already dug up the quote months ago, this whole thing already happened. I will dig it up but it's pointless to do so, these people are not going to change their opinions anyways. They ignore all evidence and just assume they know what happened.

I could say these people are misdirecting by completely ignoring witness statements and making it all about one word.

And why won't anybody answer this question: if I dig up the quote are you going to admit that she wasn't likely trying to elude LE?

Your right, could be lazy journalism.
Honestly I don't think FW was ever certain she saw a man, but that is what she said early on on several different occasions. She clearly originally thought she saw a man but I don't think it even really matters. Sbd saw a girl, it was clearly a girl at the scene. Just because FW originally thought it was man doesn't really matter if you think

Exactly, the plastic will only bounce back from a very minor accident. It would be cracked if it got pushed in that far. Her hood is probably pushed in a good 8-10". Her bumper sticks out a few inches from the hood. It is physically impossible for the bumper to be smashed in almost a foot and then bounce back to where it's basically undamaged. To me it looks like that bumper was never pushed in, certainly not pushed in on the same hit that caused the dent on the hood

Hi Orko - You seem to be pretty good with a camera. Have you ever tried to edit the early photos of the car to create a cast of the indentation?
No, I have a few photos I obtained of her car.(I have no idea if the damages I can see were all related to her accident or what).

I have better equipment where I work to get into photos and play with them, but all of my maura murray stuff is at home and I have very basic photography technology to work with at home.

Even still, I have played around with the pictures some and am not sure I was getting anywhere.

I kick myself for not getting to her car when I was in the area.

Honestly, I just concluded that her car was long gone to some junkyard by now and wasn't still being held at the troop F command center.

Had I had an inkling that her car was still around, I would've been able to get some really good photos and details from her car that have never been seen.

But unfortunately, i don't make it to New Hampshire very often.

It's February 12th or 13th and family starts to go to the scene of the accident. Sharon sees the budge in the snow, she comments about it.

I have to think there's a reason police didn't elaborate that the car wound up being closer to BHR after that first impact.

DISCLAIMER: IF there's nothing else to it, no prior accident, just this one that baffled an EMT from the get go.

We picked the tailpipe rag apart in the beginning by asking HOW COULD SHE REACH DOWN THERE BEING SO CLOSE TO THE TREES, AND WITH ALL THAT SNOW NO LESS.

I'm going to sleep, but could a really hot engine make the plastic rise and fall into the parts that didn't "crack" or break away?
Oh and hey, the radiator was pushed back too. Maybe thet took the "brunt" of it?
It's just a question so be nice.

It should be easy to figure out. I respond to extreme bullshit. You should be surprised when I don't respond to bullshit. And clearly your expecting my response indicates you can spot total bullshit also. Here is hint. If shack or Jenkins are writing, there is an extremely good chance bullshit is in the air.

I don't think the engine being hot can have any bearing on the bumper's plastic, it's never gonna get hot enough to make the plastic pliable.

The radiator being pushed back has to be from whatever pushes in the hood, I would think.
Again anything that's gonma cause a dent that deep in the hood is gonna damage the bumper if it hit the bumper as well, that's basic physics.

A tree did NOT cause the damage to that car.
The evidence clearly indicates otherwise. It's very hard to say what caused it but a tree is one of the few things we can say disnt cause it with a pretty high certainty.

Care to tell us how you and shack know she moved the car from that spot? What spot are you talking about and why would she want to cause people to think that waas still the place to look for last signs of her.
If I'm not understanding then I apologize but it sounds like you and shack know something that the rest here don't know.

Good thing I didn't shut this down while I readied for sleep.
Sorry wowzer, didn't mean to come across like that and thank you for asking me, I appreciate your grace.
It's just that we all pretty much know so much of these things, i didn't want to come across like some wouldn't know or would be hearing/thinking or reading this for the first time, so i personalized it. No secrets when it comes to that whipeout.
My take on it tonight is she was driving East, veared off to the left for whatever reason,(maybe slid/lost control....took off a great amount of the snowbank there, makby richocheyed (ms)
whipped around and fell down into the "ditch" area where all the snow was by the trees. The rear end was against the trees or appeared to be very, very close to them. Then she moved her way out the same way she came in to that spot to be even with the road, but further away FROM that spot.
