There is an under current of sensitivity and distrust.
One small incident, recently I commented to a relative that seemingly there was minimal newspaper coverage of Maura other than the Caledonian..AND that one of the rookies that night was now Chief. Wish I could express in words how quiet and cold the next moments were.

Mcsmom what hotel are you talkin about the quality in on rt 9 correct? I stayed in that hotel recently and I didn't notice what your talking about at all. Seemed just as quiet as any other hotel room I've ever stayed in, there were people in the rooms on both side and we didn't hear anything from either one
In 2004 it was the Quality Inn, it was subsequently sold, remodeled, and at present owned by Comfort Inn. Hasn't been Quality Inn for quite some time.

Back in 2004, like I said, you could hear everything in the room next door.

What if the hotel wasn't at 100% occupancy? Does your statement mean that if a tow truck needed to drop off a car that it would wake up the whole complex? How did MM get into the hotel room without a key, or did she have a key, and why was she given a key if FM wasn't expecting her to return.

Hey all- sorry about the rant last night, but the sexist thing really ticked me off. Anyhow, what a beautiful day today!! I had something hapen to me today that absolutely blew my mind and I feel blessed . I honestly feel that the more you invest into people that good things will happen, but at the same time you open yourself to feeling pain whn things go wrong. I don't want to bore anyone with my stuff but Damn there is a God!!

Well I heard it's going to be a hard winter so I've stocked up on popcorn and hot chocolate. All set to put my feet up with popcorn and chocolate in hand and watch the show. I'm sure there will be plenty of entertainment.
I enjoy reading too! nothing better than curling up with a good book On a cold winters night. Real books, not those silly kindles. My interestts are varied. I love all genres. As a child I’d sometimes read the encycloppeda just for fun. Od but true :(. Currently enjoying Pope’s “Essay on Criticisum”. He’s not as well known as His ancient predecessors but IMHO he should be. Enjoy thrillers like those by Tom Clancy. Others here might enjoy his writing style. Sometimes I’ll be inspired to randomly google for info like this informative piece http://www.marylandzoo.org/animals-conservati... elephant-program/ training-101-how-we-train-our- elephants/
Enjoy your reading. Just be careful not to spitl your hot chocolate it makes a mess of the keyboard. I suspect JWB knows what I mean.

I would gladly put up posters when I'm finally back up NH in a couple weeks.
Honestly I think that should be done and it should be done now before it's too late.
The only MMM posters I've ever seen were the ones that were posted on telephone poles on 113 a few years ago, I always wondered why I never saw more. I know the family said that the put them up all over immediately following her dissapearance but I never saw any ever, and I followed this case since the beginning.
There very well could be someone out there that innocently gave her a ride that night and has no idea she subsequently went missing. We know that there were at least a few cars that went by, including the driver or the red truck, that we have never heard from. The red truck was spotted on the side of BHR with its door open, this person is potentially a critical witness as to what happened that night.
Something needs to be done to break the stalemate that this case has become, posters could be a good start. Without tips from the public this case likely will never be solved. It seems pretty likely that someone knows something that could be important.
Posters could be important because it's a sad fact that most NH residents have no idea Maura is missing.

Not sure if you guys know about the poor troubled college kid who jumped off a bridge in NY. He was caught by his roomate filming him and putting it on the web. His parents today have decided not to sue the roomate or the school. In this day and age where everyone wants to blame everyone else I admire their decision. In my opinion their actions add to the strength of the charity and the memory of him.

That is why what renner is doing is very debatable as to whether it's good or bad. I know the family and others don't like what he's doing but he really has brought more publicity to this case and his book should bring even more. I can see the family being embarrassed to have some of their & Maura's demons exposed but shouldn't the fact that they want to find her trump that?

He is a journalist/author; it is his job to find interesting cases to write about and this case is certainly interesting by anybody's standard. He is doin his job uncovering some of the stuff he's uncovered. Whether you like him or not I don't think anyone can say that he's Hurt this case in any way; it appears he's helped keep it out in the media.

I still can't see why the family wouldn't want a book written about this case, unless they have something to hide.

At this point if someone did give her a ride do you think they would ever come forward? People are throwing foul play all over this forum and would only love to get a person to attach the theory to. Even if it was just an innocent ride to the bus stop that persons life would be ruined.
