Just me - I would only be guessing on the two topics mentioned.Lighthouse, I'm thinking of the Todd Landry afidavit and the Londonderry ping. What do you make of that?

Judged: 1 1 1 I'll take a crack at it but I may be way off. there was a local community college nearby where maura's wreck was and it had (from what's been reported) a lot of people leaving school at the end of class at around the same time maura's wreck took place. maybe this is referring to the road traffic that would of come from school getting out and students heading home. |

Judged: 1 1 1 My two cents on those are that they are somewhat misleading. Landry's affadaivt was released on Renner's blog. At face value, it looks like there was a new development because the affadaivt mentioned the londonderry ping and a possible phone call maura was having with someone in the afternoon she went missing (supports her meeting up with someone theory) Problem was the affadavit is that its not in context with the present in which it was being re-examined by james. At the time of the affidavit, investigators were trying to find out what the londonderry ping was all about. They quickly found out (it was maura checking her phone messages and nothing else) and when they found out, all media reports began mentioning that maura's last known phone activity was her checking her phone for messages in the afternoon she went missing. Problem solved. But if you were to stumble on that affadavit now and not understand that the questions have already been answered, you would think you have a new development in the case. Also, I question the affidavit and think it was an error concerning londonderry. There are two londonderry's one in vermont and one in New hampshire. the affadavit mentions londonderry nh as where the ping came from off of maura's phone, but I couldn't help but notice that maura (if gone up I-91 North which is what most people believe she did) would've acutally been in range of londonderry vermont at the time she went to check her phone messages which was like 4:37 p.m. in the afternoon. |

Judged: 1 1 1 No problem. I may be wrong as well, but I doubt it. I still use the same exact model and year (phone) that maura had. And I know how it works, what causes it to ping to a cell phone tower etc.... I gather from what has been reported that maura had her cell phone purposefully turned off for most of her trip to new hampshire that monday she went missing. In fact, she only briefly turned her phone on when she went to check her messages at 4:37 p.m. Once she checked her messages, she immediately powered down the phone once again and it has never been turned back on. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Thank You. It is technically not factually proven. But I stand behind what I have discovered and believe that the affidavit that James released on his blog was something that was part of a matter that was cleared up a long time ago. No fault on Jame's part. I know where he got the affidavit. Face value, it looks like it provides new insight when it really was just the basic tool law enforcement was using (in the early days) to begin collecting their info (which we mostly know about now) |

Judged: 2 Just me I remember there was talk about the Tech college in Woodsville letting out about that time and someone thought maybe some student might have gone home that way and saw something. I honestly don't remember anything about people coming home and stopping to help find her. It was said that the fire dept had a meeting that night. I know there was a BOLO put out to them so they could look for the driver on the way to the accident. No I didn't feel the need to save the old forums. The only thing I saved were certain things of interest by one of the posters. |

Judged: 2 Are you saying that her computer couldn't be looked at because it was password protected? After all the years of talking about it why wasn't this ever mentioned? We were told that her sister that had the computer knew nothing about computers. Just wondering. |

Judged: 2 1 1 I found this cell phone timing thing strange too, so I did a little digging. I believe the phone call at 5:38:16 (not 5:36)was the call placed by MM to Billy, and that Billy looked at the wrong time on the bill. I say this as I believe the 5:49 call(s) were incoming, which I explain below. The 5:38:16 call lasted for 651 seconds, which is 10 minutes 51 seconds, which means it ended at 5:49:07. The phone call at 5:49:16 was a routed call. The next call at 5:49:27 was an incoming call. I didn't understand what a routed call was exactly, so did some searching and came up with this explanation from testimony of the custodian of records for Sprint in a court case (unrelated to Maura Murray): "Then Brazil asks for clarification on the incoming call at 8:49 a.m. She comments the chart states " 53 seconds" and below it is "48 seconds". Strohm says there are two entries--the first entry is a routed call and the second entry is the inbound call. The two entries account for one phone call. Strohm states this is known because the times overlap. He states there is an inbound aspect but because of the overlap it is essentially one inbound phone call, just two different durations. He says the more accurate duration is 53 seconds". "Chernoff asks Strohm to explain a routed call ... This type of routing occurs when someone is in an area where they otherwise cannot find phone service. The bridge number helps complete the call by connecting them to the network so they may place the call. Thus, there is a routed and inbound aspect to what is one call. He adds that the customers would not realize that the call had been routed." So I believe the two phone calls at 5:49 are really one call, which was an incoming call that came in 9 seconds after MM's call to Billy ended. The 5:49 call was routed from the Boston SID (4106) to the New York, NY SID (4162). If we go by the info in the first quote above, last sentence, it would appear that the times of 280 seconds (Boston) and 274 seconds (NY) overlap, and that the real length of the call is the higher number of 280 seconds (4 minutes 40 seconds), which includes the routing time. I'm trying to figure out where the call originated, but at the moment my mind is a bit scrambled from trying to figure out all of the above. Perhaps after MM hung up from Billy, Fred's voicemail feature kicked in like mine does before she turned the phone off. Or maybe Billy called her back. Anyway, my conclusion is that the only outgoing call in that half-hour timespan was to Billy, and only one call came in. No other calls were placed or received during that time period, and Fred did not make any calls until 11:38 Sunday morning. |
